These only serve to remind me how the Z5500 were the dogs for the money. These not quite as much.

Whats wrong with them ?

Nothing.
It's just they aren't sensational unless you are a teenager living at home on a fiver a week pocket money.
Still pretty darn good, no fuss quality sound.
The previous Z5500 model from way back are actually superior though. I remember about 8-9 year's ago 'upgrading' to these and I sold them because of it.

Too much moaning time on my hands....

Incredible price, yeah give you that.
Sensational speakers...nah.
Can't get better without spending a lot more though.

Wish I could make them work in a car

Great price for these, was about to order and they don't ship to Northern Ireland apparently... what's all that about?

Also can anyone confirm if this is dispatched in a Amazon box or if its general sent in it's original box only ? I didn't see the option and can't see it saying on item page about it being sent in original box, like I have seen on other items. I don't want cancel and find it won't let me re-order. (I want contents hidden)
Thanks

Too many returns.
Most customers couldn't work out how to open the box....
Obviously it's the size of the box. Weighs about 17Kg.

Thanks, any way but gift option wasn't available. I was able to re-order, I can't see anything better if at all for similar money. Hopefully enough time to decide for sure.

Anything better for £150 I'm looking at upgrading from poor in built TV speakers and using a dock as I broke the TVs 3.5mm input. Surely will be good for 4 x 4m room ?

Thanks, I'm guessing there isn't much better for £250 but I could be wrong.

Pretty much. For a 5.1 experience. This lacks HDMI which is a shame. You'll be paying about £300+ for an AV and speaker setup.

Thanks, I thought as much. I've been watching it a while and want it for my desk anyhow.
Thanks plus my mouse and keyboard are Logitech. (None gamer)

Anyone know how this would be as a 2.1 on a PC setup compared to this?:
amazon.co.uk/gp/…I7Q

Thinking I could get this if it offers same/better audio and/or the option of 5.1 in the future in case my current Samsung HTIB breaks (currently has a dodgy optical port but concerned it could get worse).

I would personally go for a 2.0 setup, using passive speakers, and a cheap stereo amp. If you have room for them

I need these sized speakers for my PC due to my monitors stand.

I also like to play games so the sub is nice.

What am i missing these look really good and the review are good as well but people seem not to like them in this post for the price are these not really good

They're not bad for convenience and quality. Hifi can get much better now.

It should be in separate amazon box. you should have marked'this is a gift. you would rarely get anything not in amazon box, never happened to me, but I have heard stories.

space and size of the room + neighbours. if you have a big room and ok neighbours then 5.1 - great for movies

Do you need a massive livingroom to make the most out of this or would they be suitable for a small flat

No they don't need a lot of room. As long as you have room for surround sound.

Fantastic sounding speakers fair enough no HDMI but for this price its steal and just look at how many 5 star reviews it has just be careful on the set up as it can easily be blown

Used to own the original z5500. Bought for £195. Kept for around 8 years. Sold for £180. They certainly kept their value!!

I still use the Z5500, which these speakers replaced. Still going strong after 14 years! I remember when I first got them and everyone wanted them, crank up that sub and the whole house starts to shake 😁

Would you reccomend these or a Denom DM40 + Q Accoustics 2020i or 3020 combo all things considered?

I did check by trying again but said it wasn't available. On the otherhand the benq monitor I'm waiting to come back in stock came in its own box and the listing warns that. The this is a gift usually means it comes with a mini receipt/optional note.

Got these about a year ago, been very pleased with them for the money. Main issue I have had is that they don't support Dolby Digital+ which is what a lot of streaming services use. My workaround is using a PS3 as my media centre which can output as DD. Still haven't found a solution to getting Google Play Movies in 5.1

Haha ditto! Best speakers ever!

To buy or not, that is the question.

Play the race card!

Super heat!

Is the Bluetooth adapter option better at £175? Many thanks

Here is my input. Bought them from Amazon Warehouse used like new for £120. Sound quality is good, nothing spectacular BUT for the price you wont get better. After a few months one of the speakers became faulty, muffled/crackling sound at 80% of frequencies. Contacted Amazon and Logitech on the same day. Amazon said due to it being a Warehouse deal and no more stock they had no choice but to refund me in full... Result.

Six weeks later, yes, six weeks. Logitech finally replied to my email asking for a spare speaker to be sent out. They agreed and my speaker was on route. Turns out they sent me a brand new full set. I guess that made up for the six week late reply. In the meantime the remote also stopped working, luckily a seller on amazon sells replacements for £12.

All in all, reliabilty doesn't seem all that great but at least you know Logitech do care, if you have patience.

Great price however I just can't justify buying them! Heat given!
