I don't need them but I get excited when they get closer to the £100 mark. Weird? Yes.

I got these when they were £149 - These are REALLY good speakers, especially for gaming. you hear EVERYTHING, I mean it makes the cat stand to attention so the surround is beautiful. The best thing I like is you can choose to connect lots of inputs and switch directly with remote or desktop module. Also, if you choose to connect just the front speakers you can choose to change the configuration to 2.1 from the centre console thing, so no hunting in windows for settings. Highly recommended if you are looking for speakers

These bring back memories. Used to have the previous model. Absolute power houses. Best bang for the buck.

i had both z5500 and these but now i only use em at work. they're a little too bassy and the mids aren't very good. but then again i paid about 300 and that price is still really good, so for 140 you can't go wrong.

also a regular customer won't see much difference between these and a 600 pound set up for example
Looks like discount for student's is gone now from Logitech products?
Ordered, had been waiting for this to come down absolute steal!

Same here , problem with these tho is they don't have tweeters and I've seen in reviews that the highs are not very good because of that

Yes the performance is a bit limited with a small full range driver.
Too bad Amazon doesn't ship those to Ireland. Too bulky I guess and would likely cost a bomb with the likes of Parcel Motel.

I guess I'll keep my Z-5500 for a while longer, even though it's starting to show its age (static noise when on but not playing anything).

anyone know if you can get the Z906 amp/sub to work with Z5500 satellite speakers?
