Handy little holder with Amazon Alexa built in. It's Android only unfortunately however it looks to be a great bargain for Android users looking to bring their personal assistant on journeys with them

Well, you haven't succumbed yet.

Just make sure to remove your headphones, remove the gaze from your smartphone, look left and right and if clear proceed to cross the road per usual.

Oh and let the village know you've gone for a walk so they don't think you're missing...

10.77 is third party . 10.99 is Amazon but pre-order only.
Thanks for sharing, looks pretty handy
£8.99 from other sellers and free delivery.
Can't you just use any mount and the Alexa app? Probably explains the reduction.
Its not a bargain folks, its around this price for weeks from Amazon and third party sellers.
Available for £8.99 from another seller, especially helpful if you don't have Prime.

Not quite sure what this does, but have bought it anyway! Stupid question time: Do I need anything else to start using this with Alexa?

Yeah wait what? Why do I need this?
I have one of these, they are pretty good, got mine from cex for around £5 it supports amazon music now which it didn't before.

This works even if your phone is locked unlike just using another dock and the Alexa app. You wave your hand in front of the phone screen to activate it. It also allows voice control for calls and txts

And simple to return if it's pants.
Looks interesting. How does it attach to phone?

Does it work with Spotify/Deezer, also can you skip songs, thanks in advance.
I'm assuming you can't use this alongside a cars built in handsfree.
How do you use alexa from the app?
I have the full zerotouch dash mount it's good especially when you get texts or calls but not emails as it will read the whole email and won't stop until it's finished unless you hit the back button on your phone which defeats the object of not using it. It does sometimes get annoying when you try to send a return message and it doesn't understand some words, in the end I just cancel. As a holder it's spot on very strong. Mine stopped working and Logitech sent me a new one as it has a 2 year warranty. Alexa doesn't work on mine as my cars Bluetooth doesn't play back media. Oh and doesn't work on OS.
I'm confused as to what this device actually does!

You download an app and, as far as I can see from the video, you wave your hand at your phone. So what does the airvent device actually do?

If I clamp me phone in a standard dashboard holder and connect the phone to my car stereo via the headphone socket, then I download the app, does that not give me the same functionality?

You can just use the Reverb app which includes hot word detection and several different widgets.

Yes it would give the same functionality. Which is why its not 50 quid anymore.
Just to clarify, what you're really paying for with this is the Logitech app (with Alexa integration)... as far as I can see the mount itself is just a simple plastic mount. There are other hands free driving app options out there, so this isn't exactly special, though the Logitech implementation is by all accounts pretty decent, so this may not be completely unreasonable at sub £10, especially if you need a mount anyway. At the original RRP of £50 it was ridiculous.
Before investing in this try the free Android Auto app from the Play Store, does a lot more than this can in my opinion.
I'd give this a go but I don't want to stick anything to my phone

I have two of these one is a air vent holder and the other is a windscreen suction.

The RRP it isnt worth it but at this price i think they are very good value . Take a little time to get used to ,but over all they easy to use. I have been using it for months and never had to take my eye of the road. Not for everyone and it good to get a review from someone who has used one . hope this helps

Yes but the mount has a Bluetooth ID so you can't use the software without the mount. It's Logitech's way of stopping people stealing the software.

Ah I see!
<waves hand> Alexa, please stop me from crashi......
Alexa, is there one born every minute?
Mine arrived today and on first impressions I think it's great. Setup was really easy and everything works as it should.

Would be nice to be fully voice automated but no hardship to give your phone a "high five".

I'd tried android auto etc and whilst decent integration with Amazon music was poor!
This works great with Alexa
