Are these the new Barbie's?
Looks like the fault is finally public and there trying to get rid of them all...maybe
what fault is that.....
Aren’t theses being recalled? I’ve seen lots of Facebook posts about fingers getting trapped etc
Childs fingers getting caught in the opening clip at the bottom very dangerous toy it seems

The fire department (horror).

What an unnecessary strain on essential emergency services!

I'm not belittling the trauma BTW.

I know I thought the same! Appears the image is from America, I believe when they call 911 they'll send the nearest emergency service to help, fire fighters are trained to deal with first aid casualties and they may have been closer than the ambulance to help? Can't bear to think how long that kids finger was trapped before they got there though, I'd have broken the toy myself to get the kid unstuck quicker

We got this for our 6 year old for xmas and having just checked the button to release the front section isn't like that. There a safety build in so that the button can only be moved a few mm to allow the release - it can't be pushed any further so theres no way of getting a finger stuck in there. There must be different versions of this product out there but we got ours via Smyths so not sure if it retailer related.
My daughters was purchased from argos in September ready for Christmas day. Hers is the old catch and argos has said take back with proof of perchase to swap for a camper with the new catch
Seems to be particularly bad due to double-shell design so trying to do anything with the outside increases finger trauma via the unseen inner layer. I would take the injury pics when returning as you will probably have to fight your corner with Argos. goodtoknow.co.uk/fam…740
