My local Londis are doing their £1 deal again on Spitfire 500ml and Pedigree 500ml! This is bloomin cheap, and I love spitfire so i'm going to grab a load while I can

I've been assured it's nationwide (as they are on their leaflets).

SPITFIRE 500ml
Tesco have the 330ml @ £1 at the moment or the 500ml for £1.66
Asda have the 500ml @ 3 for £4
And Sainsburys have the 500ml @ 2 for £3

PEDIGREE 500ml
Tesco have the 330ml @ £1 at the moment or the 500ml for £1.66
Asda have the 500ml @ 3 for £4
And Sainsburys have the 500ml @ 2 for £3

Yum!

Here here brother!

Hadn't realised that Londis were an outlet for this deal (none near me). Lidl keep having a range of 500ml bottles at a quid (most recently only if buying a case at a time) and even outfits like Morrison have carried Spitfire at a quid.

It seems to be just Marston brands (Marstons, Wychwood, Ringmore, Banks) plus Shepherd Neame so I suspect that Marstons may be doing a national distribution deal for SN which includes this kind of bundling (SN may even become a takeover target for Marstons). With pub sales so disappointing, it's a way of keeping the breweries running and moving product. I only hope that it continues so that my store of £2 per litre ales doesn't become completely exhausted - and I especially hope to see Dragonfire in the line-up again.

I've got a Budgens near me who are also doing the same deal if that helps. (I'm pretty sure they are owned by the same group so it would make sense that they'd have it in both)

'Fraid not. Even further away - 54 miles each way by road to the nearest Budgens (though their website uses crow-flight distances). They are, indeed, both members of the same group so your info may help others for whom a Budgens is more convenient than a Londis.
