Regarding the fees for the Visa's to India, I thought the fees was £110 for a Tourist VisaIndian Visa Fee Structure.
Unless I am missing something here. Can someone clarify this. My wife and daughter are going in August. I and my mother are going in November for 4 months.

Get a evisa and apply online - extremely easy and simplified by India PM Modi in collaboration with the Indian U.K. PM Sunak.

Once you’ve applied and assuming your eligible, you’ll receive the email with the visa within 48hrs.

It’s valid from the date that you enter India, rather than the date that you receive confirmation of the visa.

    Enjoy your holiday!

One of the worst airlines I've ever flown with. Battered seats and awful food. (edited)

Check the above link. I do agree with you but times have changed since the airline was taken over by Tata group. The same company that owns Range Rover and Jaguar.

Already paid £520pp for 21/11 - 6/12 direct with Air India. Much prefer to book directly with the airline. Got my eVisa sorted. Was £80 for a 5 year visa.

Looking forward to it. Usually prefer North Goa to South Goa. Baga beach and Calangute Beach are amazing. Days in Cafe Mambos, nights in the Sinq nightclub.

Palolem beach in South Goa was good too, shame the Chronicle nightclub closed down, was pretty good.

November = Chill out in Goa.
December = Cheapest flight to KL or SIN from BLR and Travels in the rest of Asia.
January (after about 3rd) = Chill out in Goa
February = Travels in Northern India
March = Chill out in Goa
April = Back to somewhere in Europe.

Much heat. Far better than charter flights (which used to operate, don't know whether they still do) ⛱️🌞 🌊🏝️🏖️ (edited)

If you are into festivals and don't mind paying extra, Goa hosts a festival every year in Dec called Sunburn. Been there twice and its always by a beach. Its absolutely fantastic

Last went to Goa in 2005 or so...actually from a deal on this very site. Somewhere near Baga Beach I think. I mainly remember the fantastic weather, the King prawns from the beach bars, constant honking of car horns whenever there was traffic, cows/donkeys on the beach, plentiful Kingfisher beer everywhere and getting pestered by dozens of Indian males to pay them to give me massages on the beach ("No thanks, at least send your sister and I might consider it") Perhaps related...also the rather curious Indian custom of male friends holding hands when out for a walk....

Where did you buy it from, if you don't mind me asking? and are such favourable fares date specific? I need to go to sell my property and don't know how long it will take. One way cheap fare would be ideal, can always buy a single back to UK on any airline (cheapest) when ready. (edited)
