I went to fuerteventura in January this year, rained once in two weeks, more cloudless days than cloud, and four days temps were 34oC - I suppose it's the luck of the draw, but good price for flights anyway.

If you look on Travel Republic, you could probs stay SC for around £55 based on 4 sharing a hotel room.

good post. heat added

+£18 Luggage fee (unless you only take hand luggage)
+£3.96 booking fee (unless you pay with Visa Electron)
+ 2.5% card fee (depending on how you pay)
make sure you don't click on anything else, such as insurance!
(surcharges are for a single ticket = x2 for a return)

Cold, because you can get Luton to Tenerife South - Return Flights for eactly the same price with Ryanair (and cheaper if you go out on 24 November)

But it also says average sea temp is 20c so something is not right there?

hi guys does anyone know any websites which offer lastminute travels???? eg today in few hours? for 2-3 days! besides lastminute.com and travelzoo

if anyone can find something under £100 p/p for 3 days - some place hot and at the sea would be amazing!

but with ryanair surely the extras would be more?
i.e. £5 payment fee per person per flight = £20
plus baggage etc??

I have a friend that stays in Tenerife and it's not known to rain in December, more January! It's pretty hot any time of the year over there but at nights maybe a bit more chilly. It's still lovely thought and does NOT rain a lot!!!

are some people really this stupid? Click the link which clearly states average high of 19 degrees and average low of 13. I've been once in december and it was pretty cold and rained for 5 of the 7 days.

Mate its the luck of the draw, I'm 22 and have been to Tenerife 28 times in my life and I've been all sorts of different times of the year. As far as I can remember it barely ever rains and when it does its is usually at night time and never lasts for more than 2-3 days. BTW, I've been in December a bunch of times and got roasted, even though its a small island it really does depend on where you stay. Imo, Los Christianos/Las Palmas and Santa Cruz are the hottest areas. The other side of Tenerife is pretty disgusting so dont even bother going there. Weather is the same everywhere, its all down to luck.

My Grandad lived in ternerife for over 30 years, it very very rarely ever rained. When i went last feb, the temp was 25degrees, however printed in the UK paper it would state it was only 19degrees. I am going december this year as well, I have been december before and spent xmas day on the beach. so hot.

i have to agree withi KTp86, we have been going to Tenerife for Xmas/New Year for the last 5 years, had 1 day of rain in all that time, and even then all the bars are full and we have a whale of a time.

Worst month to go??? You're having a laugh aren't you?

Many a year I've been on the beach in Tenerife in December...

Best short haul destination for Brits who want sun and warmth...

Easyjet are the worst airline. Cheap for a reason and when u get issues then u will find out where they save money. I have told easyjet that I will tell everyone how cack they are so this a start. Remember to bring your own crash helmet fir the boarding process. Good luck.

Can anyone recommend any good hotels - preferably quite cheap - but conveniantly located? Been to the main other islands before - but not familiar with Tenerife. Not interested in the clubing scene - just beaches, culture, sight seeing, restaurants and shops.

Also - anyone know of costs / details on going to the smaller islands such as La Gomera, La Palma or El Hierro?

How's your Spanish?

Try islaelhierro.com/tra…tml for flights and sailings to these islands.

Fred Olsen or Transmediterranea for sailing and Binter Canarias or Naysa for flights.

Something tells me the flights might be from Los Rodeos and not Reina Sofia...

Went there last December - the weather's absolutely perfect.

Max would be 8/10 degrees in London - was 23/24 degrees there, never rained!

Not sure if we could handle it any hotter.
