Air China flights available directly on their website to New Zealand for multiple dates in March, April and May 2018.

Examples:
OUT 9 March -> RTN 23 March - £517.51
OUT 18 March -> RTN 1 April - £517.51
OUT 10 April -> RTN 24 April - £520.51
OUT 6 May -> RTN 20 May - £520.51

Thanks to johnlr for sharing information on even cheaper October / November/ December flights:
OUT 23 Oct -> RTN 11 Nov - £419.61
OUT 5 Nov -> RTN 27 Nov - £419.61
OUT 1 Dec -> RTN 21 Dec - £419.61

Obviously won't be to everyone's taste - it does include a stop over for 9 hours in Beijing (you can get out of the airport with a free 24 hour VISA - the city is about 1 hour away via taxi - depending on traffic!!).

I've done this flight before on Air China in March and despite some less than positive reviews about the airline - it was far better than expected, I had absolutely no complaints!

Everyone complaining about Air China, this is a deals page not a review page. You made it back alive, after thousands of miles flying in a metal contraption, what more do you want?
Been on Air China, flow to Tokyo, perfectly fine airline.

Most people are only used to Jet 2 or EasyJet on their way to Spain, so when they experience a foreign way of doing things they assume it's bad. Service was as expected, food I had pre selected and was just like any other long haul flight. Seats were good and very new on our flight.

The flight attends may not speak perfect English, but neither do I speak perfect Chinese (or Cantonese to be exact).

Are you guys expecting a Maserati for the price of a Kia? Post a £2000 return Emirates flight to NZ and see it could get hotter than this one.

Air China? good luck people! even they give me a 1st class ticket for free …Air China? good luck people! even they give me a 1st class ticket for free still NO THANKS... People are rude and pathetic (some idiot removed my stuff and stole my freaking seat).. This is fact.

Just a friendly word of advice. If you write "This is a fact" at the end of your comment you give the exact opposite impression, and moreover appear as stupid as Trump. Sad!

Thank you OP
There's a 8 hour wait at connection airport. As a minimum.
For the flight dates I selected FYI
Great price for flights to NZ, however I have flown Air China a few times and it was a bit rubbish, definitely not the same level as Emirates/Singapore/ANZ etc.

I'd check out the Skytrax reviews before booking...the phrase "I'd never book with them again, regardless of price", seems to crop up a lot...price is good though so no vote from me.

I agree.

My flights were paid for so I'm not too concerned, my flights were UK->Beijing->Shenzen->Beijing->UK and it was ok, food wasn't great but most was edible if a bit odd, my main complaint is that I'm pretty sure I got a bunch of insect or something bites all over my legs on the second internal flight or the flight out which is something I'd happily pay a bit more to avoid.

Price is excellent for this route.

However, for 30+ hours of travel an extra £200 in comfort and service is worth it IMO if you can afford it.

Either way, its hot from me.
An airline made to fly cattle class. Please enjoy if you want to

I second your comment on this.
I mean, I was VERY ill after eating on board, but for this price, I would bring a packed lunch and sit on the wing.

Think what you like people... too much politics talk here that not relates with marketing.
I think from 28/12/2017 all passengers from some countries(56 I believe) can have 144 hours transit visa. UK is one of them. travelchinaguide.com/cit…htm
Air China isn't that bad, I've flown a lot worse. Heat from me.

Pretty sure you are a bot.....just surprised because the bots usually make more sense.
Really not a nice airline to travel with. Check Thai, competitive fares and a far better service. Stopping in Bangkok is also preferable in my opinion
From what I saw on youtube their business class is actually really good!

Not a good deal. Air China is a terrible airline as is Beijing airport - unless the absolute only thing you care about is price, this is to be avoided

Confusing but... China Airlines (national airline of Taiwan) is not the same as Air China
I have flown several times to NZ, and found that Singapore Airlines was by far the best. Lucky enough to have a few days stopover, and Singapore is an amazing place. Think Singapore Airlines is usually voted top or near top every year. The price you quoted is very good. A quick look on the Singapore Airlines website shows from about £750 inclusive, but that was only certain midweek flights. Ticket prices can be a lottery, and the so called discount sites are not always the cheapest.

This is a discount site, so the AirChina price is very good. I am lucky enough to be able to pay the extra £200, but would prefer to sacrifice other holiday costs to get a decent flight.
Great find. I flied air china many times. To be honest, it may not be as good as british airlines but certainly better than easyjet.
Air China is fine. PEK (Terminal 3 which is where the flights will arrive/depart) is a nice airport, new and huge. Some of the comments, while true, don't make any sense- of course Singapore Airlines will be nicer, that's why it will cost more. Whatever next, business class is nicer than Economy? Some of the other comments simply sound prejudiced to put it mildly.

This is a good deal. Not amazing to drop everything and fly but if you were intending to make such a journey you won't find much cheaper than this.
Never flown their economy but I flew with them in business, I was dreading it but honestly it was the best flight I've ever had, I didn't want to get off the plane.

Yes, Air China is the mainland (PRC) carrier. China Airlines is the Taiwanese (ROC) one. That youtube video is the Taiwanese one. You can tell by the smiling crew, there's none of that on Air China.
Heat, flown air china a few times with no issues. usually costs me more to fly to china so good price

for a little more you can fly with …for a little more you can fly with PALhttp://www.flynous.com/cheap-multi-city-flights-from-london-to-new-zealand-philippines-601/

Is that meant as a joke?
Have you spent much time at MNL?

I used to go through that hell-hole twice a month, even as a business-class passenger it was an ordeal.

Were you in the Mabuhay lounge in T2 as this is fine, Paggs i think the other one in T1 is rubbish...

I admit that the airports are not great in MNL, should be getting better as they are trying to move domestic flights to Clark.

I know T1 has just been refurbished, went through it in April - still not that great...

To answer your question, yes been to MNL many a time, but try to fly into CRK as i have a home in Quezon city and it's quicker for me to get home via CRK, than MNL.

My comment was really regarding the airline, as i find PAL far better than Air China (i flew with them to MNL in April).

Thanks for this info.
I think this is quite a good 2nd option although they appear to only fly this route on Tuesday or Friday so less flexibility.
The total flight time is shorter.

Thanks for sharing more info... you can have a double stop over for free in MNL, which breaks the trip which is a nice option too... All depends how much time you have off at work i guess
