Thanks didn't realise that..Thieves!! Tips from Moneysavingexpert.com how to overcome this: If you’ve a few minutes to spare when you arrive at the airport, it’s possible to dodge the £2 charge altogether – but only if you’re travelling with someone else. Leave them guarding your big pile of bags by the kerb, then walk into the terminal building towards the check-in desks. There you’ll find a large number of trolleys which have been abandoned by the people who’ve paid for them, used them and ditched them as they head through to security.

Thanks for posting I actually didn't know otherwise I wouldn't have paid £17 for 17 minutes!

Wisest thing I've read. Obviously nobody ever needs to travel at short notice, there is no such thing as a family emergency. If you're concerned about space availability when you arrive then feel free to book from the time you expect to arrive until the same time on the day you're returning. Thanks, you've enlightened me. Did you notice the terms apply whatever rate you book at, so you can still use the rule to save a day's charge? Always great to get a warm welcome when you join a new online community!

Depending upon what time and day of the week you arrive at the Parkway, as it is heavily used by commuters, you may not find a space.

Just park at the train station car park called Parkway. Not much further away than the long stay car park anyway. Turn up and get ticket then pay when leaving. Bus every 10 mins straight to arrivals for about a quid each way. Think it was about £25 for 4 days last time I used.

Silliest thing I've read. It says you can arrive 1 hour early, so probably the barrier won't let you in earlier than that? Seriously, who pays £26 per day to park when you can book in advance to get it way cheaper. The car park capacity is managed tightly, so people booked to arrive after you will find no spaces.

We had no issues when leaving and also didn't need to go to any customer services desks as per bluemuzzy10s post. We put our ticket in at the end of a 5 day stay and were able to exit no problems, but yes, is still worth taking your booking reference of course just in case...

bluemuzzy10

On Arrival: On entry, take a ticket and follow signs to the nearest available spaces. Make a note of where you have parked. On Your Return: Take your ticket and booking reference number to the Apcoa Customer Service desk located in the Arrivals Hall. Apcoa staff will validate your ticket allowing you to exit the car park. This is an absolute bargain...thanks for listing...two weeks in July for £44.85!!! :)
