Not a bad price for return flights including bags and free onboard food and drink.

Malaga will be warming up nicely too.

Or you could fly with another airline renowned for its claimed low fares to an airport an annoying distance away for 9.99 each way (plus about £120 per head for optional extras like bags, check-in, paying etc)

Check royal costa hotel via onthebeach.com £220 all inclusive. Kids going for free I believe.

I'm in a small village about 10 minutes away from Malaga now! I love Malaga. A great city and great weather. Thanks for this great deal

Will have to keep this on hold for 2 months, bet it'll be gone

Very tempting!

Who? Malaga is used by the low-cost airlines (moreso than BA in fact).

They should enjoy Spain yes - I wouldn't personally say they'd find Malaga particularly special though. The beach isn't particularly nice and there didn't seem to be a lot around - I'd say places like Alicante, Valencia and Barcelona would hold their interest better (but may be more expensive - particularly Barcelona).

I've stayed in La Carihuela before with kids of a similar age. It's about 20 mins away on the train and is right in between Torremolinos and Benalmadena. My kids love it. There is a Theme park, Dolphin park, crocodile park, water park and a good few other things in the area. Would be worth looking into something in that area. Train is quite cheap too.

Great price again MancBoyChris so tempted..... We had a great family break this May with the deal you posted last year to Fuerteventura

Follow the link at the opening post and chose the dates selected (gatwick to malaga)

Looks good although slightly more during half term. Have quite a few Avios so need to check if I can redeem these. Thanks for the pointer.

I love the area as well although its a few years since i was last there.
Didnt know there was a theme park in that area, is it any good?

The train station is at the airport, and you can get to a range of resorts nearby, if you'd like other options - train fares aren't UK rip off types either!

Tivoli World is in Benalmadena. It doesn't really compare to big theme parks in terms of rides but It's lovely, up in the hills and all lit up. It doesn't open till the evening but stays open to about 2am. Only thing is there;s no public transport at that time so you need to get a taxi back which is about 12 Euro so not too bad.

Loads of kids rides, just not as much for teens and adults though they do have go karts which my boys spend most of the night on.

Fly to Malaga, 20 mins on the train to Fuengirola, job done. Been there when I was about 13/14 and then again when I was 23 with a load of mates and both times were great fun. Good nightlife for young people but also typical Spannish holiday resort so lots for younger kids to enjoy too.

Also loads of quieter golf resorts between Fuengirola & Marbella which a bus runs between so very easy access and the sea was beautiful last time I went.

Can't go wrong for a budget holiday IMO.

Don't forget the world is supposed to end in 2012 so you may want to spend your money on something else

We flew to Malaga with them in January. Lovely flight and cheaper than 'budget' airlines. Lovely new terminal at Malaga. Cab takes about fifteen minutes to - very cheap booked in advance. Great deal.

Malaga is a beautiful city , history / fabulous places to visit / great food / vibrant city life / good hotels / beaches - it's got the lot . Have visited many time and love the place, when the costas are shut down this place is magnificent and I would choose it anytime.

Highly recommend flying into Malaga. As said there's a great train network that goes from Malaga central all the way down to Fuengirola (which is about 50 minutes away). Train costs about €3.50 and are every 20 minutes. They have a great public transport service down there. The weather will be sunny, about 30 degrees. Plenty of towns to stay in. I went just last month and stayed in Fuengirola. Previously Ive stayed in Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Calahonda too. Plenty to do for the kids in the area too, loads of beaches, a zoo, theme park, cable car up in the mountains, water parks, marinas and if you're feeling brave you could even rent a car (or go on a trip) and go to Gibraltar.

I love South Spain!

Drive there?
Crikey that would be a very long drive and pretty expensive on fuel too....I would have to drive from the North West of England which makes it a very long drive indeed!!
