Booked direct flight with Eva for £447,1st Feb-16thMarch.Lowest I have ever seen for a direct flight.
I booked a direct flight with Eva for £430 in January (30% sale recently). Airline is good, but luggage allowance poor at 20kg. and staff at Heathrow miserable in my experience.

..and staff at Heathrow miserable in my experience.

It's luck of the draw in a lot of cases. I often don't find them cheery, but it's not fair to say it about all of them.

Still, for a cheap flight I'm willing to sacrifice a smile at check-in!

Are you upset with being given 20kg, to take to Thailand for under £400? Oh the last part of your comment, just wow.

I flew Heathrow to Bangkok, Thailand (via china Shang Zhou) and could not have thanked the staff for being helpful enough. We used Southern China Airline, I paid £440 & only had 15kg for the hold iirc. Even then I ended up using 1/3 of the clothes I took.

We had a massive new plane on the 9 hour Heathrow / china leg (& return), led TV's, usb charging ports, plenty of seating space/leg room, with a smaller plane for the china - Bangkok (& return). The meals were spot on, the flight staff were lovely and in general nothing was a problem!
Good for smuggling 1000 memory cards and add 35p on each for ebay
love me long time.

Meanwhile half of the flights are populated by smelly fat people who don't have to pay extra for hauling all that lard.

I believe that inappropriate remark was for Shanghai in China, & not for anywhere in Thailand?, unless I'm mistaken .....
Scratch that. It's China Airline that has the bad safety record..

Well this fat person pays a lot extra to fly business class to avoid having to sit next to miserable rude people like you and it's worth every penny!
I got £449 direct to BKK on Thai. Never seen Thai so low. Will be there over Valentines Day 2016 unless they go bust by then. But I get one of the first flights on there A380 too.

This deal is for Air China though. It's like saying I don't like Ryanair, but once flew with Virgin who were great... oO

They really aren't that bad, they were great when I flew with them. I mean they aren't as good as say, Emirates, but they are way better than companies like SAS.
~£350 for return flights, during peak season, is an absolute steal; the stop overs are reasonable too - IIRC both journeys incur a 1~2 hour stop over each way.

The reviews are mixed but we're all here to grab a bargain - just grin a bare it for 18-19 hours and think of the paradise that awaits in Thailand.

If you want to make less of a compromise I think the Qatar flights for ~£430 are also a great deal.

The Air China flights are not just to Bangkok, they're to most of the main hubs in SE Asia. We looked at getting flights to Manila for the same price throughout Jan.

Yeah, I too enjoyed large meal and unlimited drink refills included in the ticket price when I was flying a lot for work.
Well i haven't noticed the difference in smells between fat or thin people. And seem to pong the same if they have bad hygiene or a body odor problem. And i am just 76 kilos

I believe this particular pop culture racial slur originates from the … I believe this particular pop culture racial slur originates from the scene in Full Metal Jacket, in which a group of American marines are propositioned by some prostitutes in Vietnam. So as well as being a crude stereotype, it's also a bit off target. It's a bit like a Chinese kid trying to mock British people by quoting a line from Tintin and Asterix.

I thought the correct terminology was "love you long time" as in a lady of the night offering to show you a good time over a prolonged period. I am not familiar with the precise derivation, but believe it is in common use in many Asian countries including Thailand.

Indeed, maybe just a narcissistic outburst from ssc1 rather than a racial comment. Or a plea to the sometimes cold HUKD community.

Each to their own, I'd prefer to go direct with Thai and pay more. Less time wasted travelling is more time in Thailand
I am going next month for £330 using Turkish Airlines on a HDUK deal that came up about 6 months ago. Just need to avoid the Russians MIGs on landing and take off i guess.

I decided not to fly with China Airline due to their poor past record. But to be fair this incidents happened awhile ago.
