I think you can - terms & conditions say they are sold as single tickets for 25p each. No idea where Birmingham Moor Street is - that is where the train goes to. Was thinking of using them for an NEC show but probably not worth the hassle of getting to and from Birmingham International.

Above. Its only 1 transfer to get to nec from moor street.

Moor Street is an easy 10 minute walk from New Street which you would need to travel back out to the NEC. No doubt that journey would cost way more than this ticket!

Thanks, just booked direct tickets for me and the missus for £1 Return (both tickets)!! Voted HOT!

Cold.. Used to be 46p.. These train tickets price hikes are a bloody joke!!!!!!!

And if you couldn't detect my sarcasm please remove yourself from society - heat added

Moor Street is next to Selfridges near enough. A walk from there is a few minutes to New Street and a 10 minute £2.40 train ride to International. Couldn't be easier or less hassle.

Was about to book £6 first class on Virgin to London from Brum next week but may slum it for a quid return seeing this.

Damn - as usual, these don't work the other way

I am quite sure that the trains stop at Birmingham International before arriving at Moor Street and vice versa......

Oh, I was about to buy a return. You saved a more than a tenner for me OP!

Used this many times in the past, loved it.

Thanks for posting.

Ebzan,
Moor St. and Birmingham International (for NEC/Airport) are on DIFFERENT lines.

Birmingham New St. (to Euston) trains all stop at Birmingham. International (and go through/via Coventry,Rugby,Milton Keynes, watford etc. Virgin trains fast and expensive or you can take a slower/cheaper alternative with Lindon Midland trains which can double the journey time! :-S

Birmingham Moor St. line (via Solihull,Warwick parkway, Banbury etc ) goes into London Marylebone (decent service on Chiltern Rail outside of commuter (peak) times

Can you just book a carriage to yourself?

Lol and the irony of course is that it was 250p for a single last time they did this (in June/July)!

You can book the other way around, just buy 2 returns, that way you can use on half of your purhcase to get there, (the return) and then use the other side (outward journey to return back home) simples

cadbury world worth visiting? or is it boring and very expensive like in leicester square?

Earliest train if trying to go from Birmingham to London first is 14.55 arriving at 16.47.... There goes a day trip out the window

Good deal tho

If only bus fares were this much

awesome deal

Goffs Park?

Thanks OP.

Personally, I think it would be much nicer if Cliltern Railways got their trains running on time, lowerd their prices across the board so that they are in line with EU averages and sorted out their policy on carrying bicycles.
One off cheap fares don't impress me at all.

Is there anything to stop you getting on at one of the stations along the route?

Probably not but if the ticket guy is being a stickler to the rules he can make you pay for a ticket from the station you got on at, rather than the station the ticket says.

Yeah it's quite fun mate. Quite educationally orientated but still fun! The shop at the end is a little cheaper than supermarkets, but not ridiculously cheap like their outlets and staff shops.

I think the price to London should be at least £40 to put the brummies off from coming

If you don't like birmingham 50p trip to any of the nicer stops on the way.... Warwick, Leamington, Banbury.....

Sold out???

Trying to book this saturday to return on sunday...

Cheaper than HS2,just........

I'm waiting for HS2. Should be there 10 mins quicker.

busy during the peak? or is it just people coming into london that experience packed trains

Are the Chiltern trains still built like 1980's buses? You know, hard bench seats with a metal handrail at shoulder level? That's how they were last time I used them (several years ago). I wouldn't want to do a journey of this length in one if they haven't upgraded the rolling stock.

Birmingham to London also stops at these stations - so you could get on/off the train at these locations - Visit Warwick ), Stratford upon Avon (bus from Warwick or Leamington) or Leamington Spa... its much nicer!

Birmingham Moor Street
Solihull
Dorridge
Warwick Parkway
Warwick
Leamington Spa
Banbury
Bicester North
London Marylebone
