Great price. I would warn that Lumo leave a lot to be desired customer service wise. Our train home from Edinburgh last year was delayed 2 hours and then cancelled so we had to take a different suppliers train to London. The customer service from Lumo was non existent at the time. We were meant to get back to London at 18:30 - arrived into King's X at 12am.

One of the train staff said to me you pay for budget service you get budget service. Didn't know budget service meant no service!

I’ve a colleague from Reading who pays more than I do to get to the City (with me coming down from NCL)

Lumo has been a handy breath of fresh air and the 17:47 weekday is really convenient
Only really have three small gripes

    - You can’t pick specific seats
    - The seats themselves are rock-hard uncomfortable
    - The return times from KGX to NCL are useless unless you’re happy to take a half day’s leave

I spotted the bike cubby holes were full of luggage on the KGX to NCL on Wednesday around midday. I’ve got a Brompton but I’m not convinced it’ll be an easy slog on Lum (edited)

Its a beautiful place. 3 days is about right, depending on what your interests are. The castle is a must. The people here are so welcoming and so helpful. We visited in January and I'd highly recommended it. We stayed in the Hilton on Bread Street with a nice view of the castle. Go for it, you won't regret it 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

That’s because Bristol is south west. Everything in south west is 10 x dearer apart from wages.

Hi Zeddy, depends on what you want to do. Can see quite a bit in a weekend (Castle, Art Gallery and the new Johnnie Walker Centre are all fairly close together) but if you want to go all out tourist, then I’d do at least 3 days so you can add on things like the Botanical Gardens which is out of town.

Not really when you recognise these are private companies seeking to make profits.

what’s the respective customer base? Bristol at over 600,000 people vs London at 9 million.

That’s not factoring in the surrounding catchment that Bristol can draw vs London.

Nor the fact that even with covid London attracts millions of visitors each day.

You can always fly, around £120 return, but frequently less.

Takes around 2 1/4 hours including check-ins/outs. If money is time that's a few hours saved.

    Our transport system is nuts.
