great price for direct, you can get biz for £300 as well.

I paid £96 from MAN, but had a stop in AMS (I flew in Feb - nice city break) - Normally about £120-150 with a stop

How bad could it be? I'm very interested Good time for cheap Turkish tour.

Would love this fare if available around 24th July. Have some heat for a good find.

In Instanbul for work at the mo what crazy city, mental traffic, but its definitely somewhere you should visit

I was in a restaurant there last summer where instead of paper menus they used ipads with full colour photographs to show the selection of meals. Now imagine how long that scheme would last in this country

I personally would notntarvel with this airline..

Rather pay a bit more and go with Emirates - at least I know is get there with no delays or unscheduled stopovers or tech local glitches with the planes..

Stop trolling

I have been there before and would love to go again, but the situation in Turkey is very unstable at the moment.
If you recall, there was a bomb which went off near the Egyptian pillar very recently and a large no. of tourists were injured. This pillar is located near the Blue mosque.

On the plus side, it means security will be higher than ever now so possibly safer than normal.

Just stay out of a Kurdish area - you could end up getting burned alive!

Are you still allowed to take children in your hand luggage?

Turkish airlines is inconsistent. You can have a great experience or a very poor experience. I've flown on them many times. I'd day I've had about a 50% satisfaction rate overall. The food, when they get it right, is well above average in my opinion.

well they aren't totally wrong, it is a dictatorship, I think there is no … well they aren't totally wrong, it is a dictatorship, I think there is no dispute about that now since one of their newspapers was taken over by the government for publishing anti-government stories, there have also been a couple of bombings in "tourist areas" recently and Turkey is seen as the enemy by both ISIS and the Kurds, so it seems to be gradually getting more risky over time

I think there is still a lot of dispute in calling an elected government a dictatorship.

Easy to be offended, but difficult to deny the facts. Multiple terrorist attacks in Turkish cities over the last year, including one at Istanbul's 2nd airport in December. Holiday bookings reportedly down 40%. I work in the travel industry and our flights to Turkey have been reduced enormously this coming summer. The government's recent attacks on the free press and the ongoing refugee crisis. Proximity to Syria and domestic conflict with the Kurds.
All in all, while Istanbul is a fascinating city, I don't think now is a great time to visit as a tourist.

Ignore the trump supporting trolls. Beautiful country. I went Istanbul a few years back with my wife and had one of our best holidays ever. People were lovely.

Propaganda.

People hated Russia for Ukraine, but suddenly loves Russia for Syria. Such hypocrisy.

Turkey is a democratic state and its leader is secular, not islamist. Turkey is doing their best to protect their country.

If you think Turkey is unsafe? So is France for that matter.

It's not the Kurds doing the burning....
They are the ones being set on fire.
By the Turkish army and police.
And their government is the biggest supporter of ISIS

I dont recall Istanbul having worst bomb attacks then London or another city. And the government is no worst then other governments which I hate all of them. Turkish airlines is the best airlines in Europe officially and you wouldn't get that good food on a business class flight on another airline and theirs seats are nice ,large and comfortable plus they don't don't charge for food nor seats with extra gaps.unlimited free alcohol as long as to drink like a normal human being with a responsibility. And Istanbul is a place that no one should speak before they see,it's nice, different, have great food and places to see, the bosphours would be enough in fact there is no other place like Istanbul . regarding the refugees I though all of you felt sorry for them poor people and I thought all of you were against governments and racist people as you believed that those people should be supported because they didn't move out of their countries, they have been forced to to that. So Turkey has more than 3 million refugees from Syria alone which is another good reason for you to support the country I believe

Forgive me, but is flying from the UK to Turkey via Dubai not a little bit out of the way?

Each to their but I can't stand Emirates. Not an airline I want to fly with again.

Turkish airlines comes up as worlds 3rd biggest airline.

I think it's a great country to visit but not necessarily with its national carrier..

BA and Emirates do good deals from time to time..

You have more chance of your close family member killing you than being killed by a "terrorist attack"

Always amazes me how people won't let facts get in the way of a good story.
Accusations of trolling and worse simply don't equate to the fact that the general public are well on the way to regarding Turkey in the same light as Tunisia and Egypt (Sharm) as unsafe destinations. Currently, major UK airlines are not going to these destinations for security reasons. The travel industry is waiting with baited breath (and trembling bowels) for how things will turn out in Turkey. At the moment western European tourists are voting with their feet and bookings in Spain, for example, are sky rocketing (as are prices). Turkey is one terrorist attack on tourists away from becoming another no-go zone. Erdogan is not doing anything to reassure the West that he wants Turkey to remain a safe, secular democracy. But, I have some sympathy for him, as being a power broker between East and West has never been a comfortable or secure position.

I was there a week ago. Felt perfectly safe. As safe as when I went few years ago. Security were on the ball too everywhere.

The great thing about it though, is that you aren't there.

Bravo sir.

BTW, I'm not anti Turkey or Turkish Airlines have visited and traveled with them many times. Turkey is one of the most interesting countries to visit with outstandingly friendly people.
Turkish Airlines is a safe airline to fly with, not as safe as some due to some remaining 'safety culture' issues, but it has come a long way in a short time.

People like you shouldn't be allowed to post full of hate and lies. Yes the crazy man is a dictator but do you think that reflects the opinions of Turkish people? Full of terrorists? Have you forgotten those British terrorists leaving the UK to join ISIS?!? Unless you can make informed posts don't bother!

Gotta laugh at Brits who think £85 return for an international flight...with 23kg luggage...& food from this Airline is crap

Stick to cheapo budget British Airlines that charge you for tea...water...luggage...breathing X)
