Did someone say crabby?
Great price, Tip: Avoid trashy Ao nang and visit nearby island Koh Lanta instead.

Bit far for a charter, already dirt cheap to fly to Asia using Emirates

Loved Krabi amazing destination
Good offer.. last week I purchased 2 tickets from Newcastle to Bucharest...560£ for both..
Unlike Emirates et all, this is a DIRECT and NON-STOP flight so not via Dubai or Bangkok

Tui are excellent long haul economy. Their premium service doesn’t compare but then neither does the price. I’d have no hesitation booking if I wanted to go.
Are they better than Emerites then?
This is a snip for a flight to Krabi

Koh lanta is beautiful. def better than Ao nang
I would LOVE to go I really would - but as a beach bum I am unsure as to the weather at that time of the year - my thoughts were that it would be better for sun to go in our winter....?? Not sure though - I am no Michael Fish!

You can’t fly Emirates to Dubai for this price never mind Krabi, that too direct.

What difference does it make at this price, it’s direct and cheaper than a flight just to Dubai.

Emirates doesn’t even fly to Krabi, you’d have to do at least 2 stops on Emirates to get to Krabi from the UK.

April is one of their hottest months.. You'd probably get a bit of rain but nothing too heavy..

I would snap this up but I already went Thailand in April last year (my 6th time so far) and I really want to travel other countries with my limited annual leave.

I'd get straight over to Koh Tao and spend 2 weeks diving.. Bliss

Best time of year march & April
This is an absolute bargain and all set for Song Kran. ...fantastic.

Some of my favourite places in the world aren't too far away. My recommendations are:-

- Railay Beach (just drop dead geogous)
- Koh Sok National Park (Unspoilt inland lake surrounded by Limestone cliffs)
- Koh Phayam (Near the myanmar border.....great island....very relaxing and not too touristy yet)
- Samilian Islands.....the best diving in Thailand

In April....try to avoid central Thailand as it gets upto 45c
This is a fantastic deal with probably the best european UK airline i've flown on. In my experience you get the service and quality you would expect for the prices you pay for a BA flight, but at a third the price.

BA on the other hand, absolutely worst airline. Terrible. Nasty even.

Unbilievavly CHEAP! Paid £600 plus to go Phuket via Dubai 2 weeks ago!
£686 if you fly in Premium ..... Great price!

Absolutely not as good as Emirates
Does this airline include food onboard for long haul?
We were in Ao Nang a few years back during Song Kran festival which was brilliant and well worth experiencing. It's also good to be able to retreat to the calm of the hotel though!
Weather wise you can expect hot tropical weather with rain around 4pm which is actually quite refreshing. We've been to Phuket in December and the weather was really cloudy and not great so I personally think April is just as good if not better.
Ao Nang isn't that bad, it's fairly small and is a good base to explore from. It's got some beaches, nothing spectacular though Railay beach is a short boat ride away which stunning. It's fine for picking a resort to chill at in the day then going for dinner and a stroll in the evening. We took fairly young kids and felt totally safe.

I can recommend the Krabi La Playa resort;

Ao Nang is great fun if you like live music and Railay beach is around the corner but yeah Koh Lanta is a beautiful little sleepy island, but Koh Lipe is the place to go, 20 metres into the water you have preserved coral reef .. stunning.

Weather was decent when I was there, from my experience West Thailand seems to be a little better than East in April
I was in Ao Nang last November and really liked it. Much nicer than Patong with non of the sleeze. Take a few days and head out to Koh Phi Phi for a few buckets if you are young enough. Great deal
Brilliant price and be there for Songkran as well
Paid double to fly with Emirates. This is a real steal and one of my fave all time places, highly rec!

Great price on an amazing plane

787 is not an amazing plane, narrower than a 777 and depending on seating layout not a lot of leg room. 777 and 380 much better.

The difference is, it's a long flight and if its a banger of a plane I would rather pay the extra an go in comfort is what I'm saying!
So is it better than Emerites? or as good as Emerites comfort wise?
I've never been on a dreamliner before have you?
