I ran the Marrakech marathon in January 2017, flew with Ryanair for just under £100 and that's all I paid.

I didn't pay a penny more. I used my mobile phone for the boarding pass at Luton airport, didn't pay to choose my seat and my hand-luggage (which was all I needed) was free!

I'm also going to be running the Marrakech marathon in January 2018 and I booked again with Ryanair for £63.

Thank you Ryanair. Without you, I would have not had this opportunity to run a marathon overseas and visit a beautiful country.

And thanks op for sharing this deal; heat added.

Does this include hotel and food and family of 5

Yes, and Knack on PS4.

Luggage and seats are an extra £1,000 per person per leg, and using the toilet is 10p per ml/gram; FLUSHING the toilet costs £5.

Boarding without a RyanAir boarding card printed with an approved printer is an extra £1,000 per person - sadly all approved printers have recently become unusable with the latest Win10 update.

Just a couple of points to add:
1. The airplane toilets were free :-)
2. If you have/need to eat during the flight, just pick a £3.99 meal deal from WHSmith (after security) before boarding :-)

It’s always great to read something so positive. Well done and enjoy your next marathon!

Marrakech is indeed one of the most memorable trips for me. Lovely buzzing city full of great food and people. Awesome for bargains. Can travel to many other destinations easily such as Casablanca, Agadir and many others!

I find the women in the club's there are some of the friendliest I've ever met

Do these planes even take off? I have heard it is pot luck whether you get to fly at all with Ryan Air as they cancel so many flights?

Yes that would be my worry too. They had to cancel thousands of flights recently because they didn’t even have enough pilots and couldn’t even bribe them back the working conditions were so poor.

i am a sucker for a bargain and dont mind roughing it a bit on a short flight, but if i can not rely on the plane even taking off, i would not even want to fly with them if the tickets were free. i do value my time believe it or not.

Agreed. Ryanair were also paying their lawyers everything they could to try and deny compensation claims so many people ended up losing money having to rearrange travel plans. Horrible company with a horrible ceo. Much prefer easyJet even if it does mean paying a few more quid.

What's the weather like in Jan? Would highly recommend agadir or essaouira both about a couple hours bus journey away

If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down

i always fly with the more established airlines even though they cost more as i also value my life and worry that the cheaper airlines will fall out of the sky lol

i flew with easy jet once even though i consider them on the cheap side for me, but to my pleasant surprise, they were quite decent. i was expecting a very basic flight but it was very comfortable and the staff were very pleasant so i would not hesitate to fly with them again.

Sorry, yes, I got the decimal point in the wrong place in every single figure - please move it two places to the right.

No, I dont work for any airline, but I understand Easyjet is slightly better than RyanAir, although they share similar "baggage is extra" philosophies.

Never been in the winter (apart from Rabat in January which was warm in the day but freezing at night) but as marakesh is in land I would think it would be warmer. Definitely check out Essaouria if you like Morocco (easyjet do chea0 flights from London Luton if you're south) And no I'm not an easyhet employee! Just worth seeing

I have flown with Ryanair to Marrakech 6 times in the last 8 years, never had a problem with them. If you read and follow all of the instructions they provide, then you shouldn't have a problem.

Ryanair are cheap for a reason, they don't provide the best service and you need to expect this for the price you pay.

If anyone wants recommendations on where to stay in Marrakech, then drop me an message, I will be more than happy to share my thoughts with you of the best places to go and stay in the City.

At this price it is a bargain, might just have to book another flight.

Exactly, don’t expect a luxury service for a cheap deal. But will they get you to your destination? Yes in most cases.
Of course every airline has negative events which impact both the businesses and clients. But as mentioned above, if you keep your expectations humbled, then offers like this are a bargain and you’d be grateful. So sit back and enjoy the beauty of Marrakech

It’s just like getting on a bus. You don’t expect champagne and caviar( well I do but I’m not going to get them
