Cunard takes you back to the golden age of sea travel without sacrificing any modern-day comforts. With opulent interiors reminiscent of ships from a century ago, Cunard's three ocean liners, the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth, satisfy even the most sophisticated tastes with world-class cuisine and Cunard's renowned White Star Service.

Sail with Cunard on a traditional Transatlantic voyage, or cruise to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Asia, Australia or New Zealand. Whichever destination you choose, Cunard will entertain you with sports facilities, casinos, spas, live music, disco dancing and black-tie soirees.

Take advantage of one of our Cunard discounts to experience the refined elegance and attentive service for yourself.

With sweeping staircases, domed public rooms, full-circle promenade deck and elegant appointments, Cunard's Queen Mary 2 melds the classic grace of yesteryear's ocean liners and the ultimate in modern features. Accommodations range from standard cabins to expansive, lavish suites with private elevator access. Three-quarters of all staterooms have balconies. Dining is first-rate onboard QM2, as seven galleys service 10 restaurants, including the renowned Todd English restaurant, which overlooks the pool terrace. Kings Court offers a variety of dining alternatives in the evening. A string quartet plays in the elegant Winter Garden as afternoon tea is served with white-glove service. The 20,000-square-foot Canyon Ranch SpaClub offers stress-relief treatments and wellness classes.

There is a stunning array of recreation, with unique venues such as Illuminations, a planetarium that serves as a lecture hall and cinema. Queens Room houses an elegant ballroom. Fourteen bars include Golden Lion Pub and G32, a disco. Decks 12 and 13 offer sporty fun: a putting green, shuffleboard, deck games, a giant chess board, two golf simulators, basketball and table tennis. Enjoy a performance at Royal Court Theatre or gaming in the Empire Casino. Throughout the cruise, Cunard Connexions offers enriching and educational workshops and seminars.

I don't think you can compare this to air travel. I think it's a great deal and would jump at it if I had the money. Much more pleasant to get to New York this way than sat cramped in economy class eating plastic food and breathing recycled air.

And your point? some people 1 like to take cruises and 2 Dont like to fly, so good for them.

To fly is a way to get there, whereas a Cruise is a holiday in itself to the destination.

Thanks for the sarky comment tho!

Let me edit that bit whoops

Great price I have done this with a NY stopover. Only downside is flying back with the jetlag, I found it much better to fy out and cruise back. This is cheap for a week on one of the worlds greatest liners.

I heard that this particular ship is unsinkable.

It's not that I think that the offer is bad but all the costs need to be accounted for.
First Southampton isn't London so if you drive there you need to account for parking not cheap on the port area, also if you do this and fly home your cars almost certainly in the wrong place.
So yes around trip would be more sensible, in my opinion.

Not criticising cruises, I'm sure they are lovely and there are people out there that are fans of them but 5 night out on the rough seas. Not my cup of tea. Not going to vote as I can't make an informed decision as to whether this is a cheap crusie or not but just wanted my ten pence worth in the comments :-p

lol since when was southampton London!

Obviously not ever been on a cruise then, as you can hardly feel what you call rough seas on the size of the cruise ships you travel on and most nowadays have cruise stabalizers to balance the ship if you come across any rough seas.

To be honest I've never been on a cruise but have used ferries on numerous occasions. But the thought of being stuck on a large boat for 5 days, with the same people, seeing the same things (within the boat of course) and doing limited amounts, just doesn't do it for me. I'm no big fan of flying but at least it gets you to your destination where you can do whatever it is you're there to do. Once again let me reiterate, I'm not critisising the nature of cruises or the fans of them, but merely stating that it doesn't do nothing for me!

you could say the same about people who go all inclusive to a hotel and just stay in the complex for 7 days. Couldnt think of anything worse as a holiday imho. A lot more to do on QM2 than any hotel complex.

A ferry cannot even begin to compare to a cruise ship. I doubt you'd see the same people more than once or twice when there are 3000 passengers on board

I parked at Gatwick last week at Cophall Farm Parking (they provide pick up and drop off as and when it is needed) and it cost me £17 for the entire week! And I'll tell you what, I've parked at many places before but Cophall was by far the best 5* service and 100% secure too visit guards at site!

it wont be £17 in summer - more like £40-£50 for a week ;-)

I've used them before but had a 20 minute wait each end and then a 15 minute journey so prefer on-site for a few quid more (about £55 for a week).

I live in Southampton, 20 min walk from the ferry terminal and have private parking. I don't have a car.

you should google and find a website who rent out private residents parking spaces , you could make a small fortune a year

If people have their opinion fair enough, just don't keep going on about it. You've said your point, leave it at that.

Would love to go on a cruise like this but havent the disposable income at present! Usually go on the mini cruise P&O offer over valentines but can;t go this year due to saving for Florida in september :-D

anywhere u can get a brochure? looks good but maybe not for this year, fancy lookin at the cruise's they offer for in a few years...

found it..

I completely agree, and talking from experience, having been in a serious emergency landing, and having spent 5 hours with 1 engine over the Atlantic! I don't fly anymore! so this deal for me is great, and hopefully when funds permit i will be going. Thanks for posting.

i can't comment if this is hot or not, but i would never bother with boating it to new york, i'm surprised it even exists

Why surprised? I have never done a cruise myself, and really I couldn't see it appealing to myself. But those that do cruises generally do not do it for getting from point A to point B, they do it for the cruise and experiencing point B.

Like Butlins or any other holiday park where people take advantage of the facilities provided, this is what people do cruises for. Some people like that, its some peoples idea of a holiday.
