"be the change you want to see in the world"
Off to South Africa shortly where I'll be staying in a house owned by the son of Niël Barnard, the former head of their National Intelligence Service & the guy who negotiated the transition away from white minority rule, directly with Mandela.

His book is well worth a read if you want to see things from the other side's point of view...

If you're interested in the complex, multi-dimensional history of South Africa, then can I recommend you read The Native Commissioner by Shaun Johnson? It's a book that gets taught in South African schools. I was lent a copy by my mate Barry who was the author's brother. I was rivetted from start to finish. Here's a link if you're interested...

PS - Shaun & Barry had another brother who used to be the chief editor of Penthouse!

I think you're getting South Africa confused with South Anglia...

'the guardian' always good for a laugh, nobody put their name to that piece i see, not surprising.
are you suggesting rodney would be a better choice in the role with him being evil and a nutjob,?
i know mandela and his wife both did some disgustingly horrific things but seems a little harsh.
Brilliant read
