I'd definitely recommend this book if you want to quit smoking cold turkey. A bit brain-washy, but it did the trick for me. At least worth a punt at this price.

I read this in 2005 to try and stop smoking and i haven't had another cigarette .Great book .
I was the biggest sceptic but this worked for me. I’ve not smoked for ten years this year. I never regretted doing this.

Easiest way to stop is not buy another packet. Simples.

Easier said than done.
I tried this when it was last posted on hukd on January 5th 2018.
Haven't had a smoke since...and I don't think I ever will.
Well done on quitting smoking guys.

You're correct, this book merely reinforces that point with lots of different ways of looking at it. Some of the points mentioned even stick in my mind now, nearly 15 years later.
It says 99p for me ?

Good point, it seems to have changed since the early hours when I first saw it.
Thanks for sharing @kwerty , have amended the price heat added
Voted hot.

This is how I quit smoking. Never smoked since and that was over a year ago. I didn't ween myself off just quit instantly.

Best 99p you will ever spend.
Tried stopping smoking over several decades with varied degrees of success but always ended up back on the weed. Think that would apply to most smokers.

I bought this book out of curiosity having read the success stories but tbh I was full of scepticism and the first part of it bolstered that thought "what a load of drivel'. I persevered and the book grew on me, the fact it told you to smoke through it helped lol, by the time I got to the end I had a level of resolve I'd never felt before. I finished the packet of cigarettes I had and never smoked again, that was spring 2008. Never judge a book by its cover eh
Met two ladies on holiday who had given up after reading this book. They swore by it. 5 years later and with much sceptisim I read it. Haven't had one now for getting on 10 years. I must admit when I put that last cig out, I thought yeah right! But after nearing 10 years without one I think I can finally say....I've given up.
99p to save you a small fortune and your health.....well worth it.
You can download the PDF on Reddit if you want to review it first. I don't usually promote 'stealing' but since Alan Carr is not with us anymore and if it actually helps someone then I don't feel so bad. Obviously if you like it then be sure to buy the book
Thanks, worth a punt. Said 99p but checked out at 82p
My son & his then girlfriend both gave up after reading this book so although I have not read it I am aware of it's success.

My son had no intention of giving up but after his girlfriend had finished the book while on holiday he picked it up for something to read. He did not give up straight after reading it but some weeks later & says that the book helped enormously.

I myself gave up the hard way 37 years ago after several failed attempts so I know from experience it is not easy to quit & you are only one drag from being a smoker again.

Good luck to all those that are trying to stop it is definately worth it.
Not voting cold .
I smoked for 15 years and gave up a few years ago and imo nothing can really help give up if you dont really want to quit and if you truely do want to quit then it isnt really that hard . no book will realy help if you dont 100% want to quit and if you do then you wont need a book
The trick is when you give up you give up for good, don't have a sly puff here and there. I gave up smoking for 6 months and thought it harmless to have a couple of drags for old time sake, a week later I was smoking again. I eventually gave up 12 years ago without falling down that pitfall.

Read this around 15 years ago after smoking for 15 years or so and stopped. Can't recommend this book enough. It most probably saved me, and 1000's of other smokers from a premature, painful and ugly death. So, that will be some heat from me...

Everybody's psychology is different though and some people benefit from some form of support. Whilst I agree that you need to be 100% in your decision to quit, as if you're not then you're likely to keep failing, to vehemently state that this book won't help anybody, as all anybody needs is conviction and sheer will power, is perhaps a bit of a sweeping statement. I know a few people who tried to quit and failed numerous times, and then read this book and succeeded. It's a very clever book that taps into a person's subconscious mind and alters the way a person thinks about smoking. Anything that can help a person to fast-track giving up such a health-destructive habit gets my vote. On the other hand, some lucky people have the ability to just stop without any aid or support.
A one off payment of 99p to save £30 a week...

That's what I call a deal.
I quit smoking around 15 years ago after listening to the audio book version of this. I actually put off listening to it for ages too as I was worried it wouldn't work.
