I've only glanced at this deal but it looks good. There might be a £10 delivery charge on this item from Bristol. Only 3 in stock.

I can't see any details on warranty but show this to Richer Sounds and they might do a deal £10 cheaper at £702.49 if it qualifies!

I didn't see that, but still not a bad deal for anyone in the area.

The 49" is 8bit+FRC, the 55" and up are 10 bit.

Looking at getting this model myself just waiting on a little downwards movement on price
I have it at £699 on offer from JL as a price match. Need to decide within 28 days assuming they dont sell out of course.

The 55inch is 10bit, I called Richer sounds and they confirmed that only the 49inch is 8bit+FRC. That display specifications website is wrong, all other reviewers including AVforums have it down at 10bit.

PRC direct had it for £699 for a while but it's increased to £749 now, you can submit a JL price match here:

I've got a John Lewis price match on this at £699 (Plus 5% off with vouchers) just trying to convince my wife we need a 5th TV.

When RGB had it listed for £699 I emailed JL from their website link and they emailed me to confirm the price match. RGB have put it back up to £799 on the web site so you would have to wait until a "shop" lists it again as they dont match web shops only physical shops. Once JL price match its good for 28 days no matter if the shop put it back up or not.

Best of luck convincing the wife , I'm still trying to convince mine to get our 2nd TV as the old Panasonic 37 inch lcd display is a bit dated .... She won't bloody budge

Would you say the black levels are good or can you notice a bit of grey where the bars are?

Also what's it like for console gaming I.e. ps4 pro and Xbox one x?

Cheers
Are there any 4k TVs at under 50 inch with 10 bit colour and HDR 1000?

Black levels are looking good so far! Great for gaming, low input lag but you have to change a few settings for Xbox to register 10bit HDR and turn off anti judder as it ironically causes strange juddering and shadowin

I have a £699 price match with JL as well, but was in there today and they had a 49XE9005 marked down for an almost nonexistent scratch on the bezel for £749 so had to just jump on that. I must admit the 55MU7000 did look pretty good though.
This is basically the KS7000 from last year right? They just cannot call it QLED any more as the goal posts for QLED have changed, so the KS7000 wouldn't be either this year.

No. The KS7000 is a better TV. It’s UHD Premium and has their quantum dot filter. This doesn’t. The KS successors are the QE models in 2017.

Where have you found the info around the 10bit panel? I own this TV but thought it was 8bit + FRC according to displayspecifications.net or whatever it's called.

The Sony KD-49XE9005. It doesn't quite hit 1000 nits in real world testing (more like the high 800s), but it is HDR Premium certified and ticks all the other boxes.

It’s on Samsung’s website. Second time I’ve seen that website have an error recently.

I don't think it's a new TV you need, it's a new set of testicles
i also have this on a price match at jl but undecided, really want a bit better tv like the qleds above it but it is a nice set for the price and when i see it last week in our local hughes it looked as good running same demo with the 1200 quid qled next to it.

AVforum + HDTV Test both mentioned it was 10 bit in their review. The somewhat confirmation of this is the HDR 10+ support. Doubt you'd get that on an 8bit + frc TV.

Instead of QLED they use a Dynamic Crystal Colour system similar to that used on last year's KS models

I was right.... I think the goal posts will keep changing as true QLED should be self illuminated, so they'll keep getting better an changing the names.

It's also the same edge lit 1000nits goal dimmed (sort of) of the KS7000...

I reckon they took last years KS7000 and slapped a new back on it as everyone complained about the glossy back that peeled off.

Problem with info like that is that these manufacturers can claim "10bit" if the panel has 8bit + FRC as the FRC counts as a +2. So they'll say 10 bit but it's really 8+2.

It seems the lines are very blurry on this TV. There doesn't seem to be a definitive answer from a reputable source.

I never trust the shops or manufacturers website.

That sounds promising with regards to the blacks. As for the settings on Xbox, any good site you could link me to for the settings? Thanks
It’s nice to see the mu7000 steadily dropping. I brought the UE50MU6120KXXU in previous deal. I know it’s not a hoot on this tv. But I recently brought a house & have one Argos bush 1080p Jobby. So I have some rooms to allocate a tv too. This is my ultimate gaming tv offering 1000hdr & 10bit panel. As it stands though I don’t even have the ps4 pro. I reckon 6 months could see this sub £600 which is sweet spot for me

Agreed. I thought all the mu7000 were the same but it seems the 49" is 8+FRC. 55"+ are true 10bit. Not to mention (60Hz vs 120Hz)
