You missed the "TWO"
I don't like crowds
Lidl had these a few weeks ago as well - the pistachios were fresh and delicious. Yum!
Warning: These are like crack, soon you will be waiting outside begging for a taste, hiding them from your friends and family, you will wake up saying, just today and I can give it up.....

Scrumptious - HEAT!
Our local Lidl had these in November at this price, not exactly new !

Yes but £6.00 (£0.80/100g) - You have to spend £6

Its .88p /100g and a minimum spend of £4.40

But good alternatives for those who dont have a lidl near.

Better make your prejudice injections are up to date...
I was surprised to see this deal last week myself in our local Lidl. First of all these are Californian, whereas those available at ASDA, Tesco etc are from Middle East/Pakistan region. In other words different taste.
Usually we buy our pistachios/cashew etc from Pakistani cash & carry @ £6 for 800g which is £7.5 p/kg and they are raw, where these Californian are roasted.

Hope all this make sense and difference. We like them very much.

Here is the link for Lidl deal lidl.co.uk/cps…htm

.....
The best Tesco/ASDA deals on nuts like pistachios/cashew are before and around the Ramadan, which is if I'm not wrong in July/August.

My local Lidl has had them for the last month, bag still half full, and still open. Not to sure how fresh there are, I assume they haven't sold so well in Greenford, because you can normally buy a bag for 800g for £4.99, £3.99 when on special.
The keenest prices tend to be in the Indian and Turkish shops, local Tesco has them for £6 for £6Your text here
So for me having these other shops near me, it's a cold deal, but if you don't have the shops near you, or your Tesco doesn't stock it, then it's a good price. Not all Lidl stock the pistachios, another one I popped into didn't have it.

if they are still in the shell, then they are roasted.

So the roasting process adds the shell to it?

LOL, and blow me down, you can buy them raw in the shell. I stand corrected and next time I am in the States, I shall buy them, just for the pleasure of being a nut.

Cant it be still in the shell and not roasted? I am not disputing, just trying to know.
I normally buy kilos of pistachios to bring home from Turkey when I've been on holiday. Turks love nuts, especially pistachios, which they buy from Iran.

I had the Lidl ones at the weekend and I reckon they're pretty damned good. There is no comparison with the pre-packaged ones. Definitely a hot deal.

One assumes yes, in their natural state, point I wanted to make is that in the UK, one rarely see's them in the shell raw, as they would be a pain to get out, whereas when roasted, shell splits open, easier to open and eat.
I can't comment on the taste of the Californian ones compared to the Iranian ones, but I can say with confidence, you can buy them cheaper elsewhere.
Do these come with the shell or no shell. As removing the shells take ages

They come with the shell
When comparing with anything else just remember that these are fresh Californian nuts, where else are you going to find this sort of quality and loose at a fair price?
