The coffee sells for £4 in Tesco Extra, Chichester. A saving of £2.69. I don't know if it's nationwide and online.

Good find best coffee that sells in retail shops
Also a victim of shrinkflation, used to be in 200g jars, apparently (used to buy it when it was Carte Noire, now and then) thisismoney.co.uk/mon…tml
How much is it?

Am I alone in not understanding this? Is it £2.69 or is that the supposed saving? I say supposed as it's always £4 in Morrison's when I see it. Isn't 165g a bit of an odd weight? this reeks of skulduggery. Odd weight, odd price. Ummmm...

You don't drink coffee, but say this is the "best coffee that sells in retail shops"
I like the coffee but not the company, they reduced the size of the jars down from 200g to 165 and slightly increased the price (proportionally), found it was not selling so have introduced a £4 offer initially with Morrisons, now with Tesco.... The 200g size are priced £4.79 in B&M and have been for months.
Fed up with these food firms treating us like bl**dy idiots and reducing the quantities but not the price proportionally

for those who don't have a Tesco nearby same weight is £1.83 in Asda, bought some at the weekend. the smell is like perfume and very strong. Won't be buying it again
Nescafe Alta Rica all the way!
Its ok if cheap enough - its not my favourite, but there are usually a few at this price for 200 grams. So not a great deal.

This coffee tastes awful. Bring back Carte Noire
French name, but owned by the same American multinational company that use cheaper ingredients and smaller sizes for the same or higher prices (They're the ones who destroyed the once yummy creme eggs and also shortened toblerone bars).

They're all about 'sweating the asset to maximise the profit' - and they do it by lowering quality and quantity.

With this coffee some peeps think they're getting Carte Noire under a new name, but it's an entirely different recipe with lower grade blended beans - and there's less in the jar too.
Come back Carte Noir, we miss you!

Agree Carte Noir Intenso is my all time favourite. I find it extremely hard to stick to coffees after a jar or two. I used Carte Noir for almost a year before it was withdrawn.
Carte Noir should be back in a few months when the brand license expires in March.

That was the suggestion after Mondelez leased the brand to Dowe for 12 months. But will the original flavour/beans be reinstated? L'or is not Carte Noir!
