If it's true veneer rather than laminated, then yes. The jar is very small, so expect it to be used up quickly if you use it on large areas like doors and dining tables. I only use this on smallish cupboards and side tables.

Mineral oil. IKEA do an alright one called SKYDD which is decent and cheap.
