Wouldn't it be safer to dip your elbow in...like they used to. Tech can fail

Would be much better if the self generated power could be used to charge your phone in the shower.

Although, if you are a fan of the old school method of dipping your toe in the water, and if you shout 'arrghhhhhh', then its too hot. That's OK too.

Genuine question - not bashing your post - what is the benefit of having this?

I agree. In the case of pets & children, go with the tried & tested methods over questionable technology

useless gadget to be honest and u cant even be sure if this thermometer is precise enough

I bet it will reduce the flow due to 'self generating power' as well 😚

I have one, it seems quite accurate but it only works high water pressure and it definately reduces the flow.

Would be much better if the self generated power could be used to charge your phone in the shower.

not sure these will even fit uk standard pipe/thread came across a water saver gadget recently that i suspect was made for a different market and wouldn't fit my shower
think most showers over here are ½BSP?

I bought one, doesn't fit the standard shower outlet.
The 2 ends are slightly different sizes on the one I got. The shower hose fits on the bottom of it but it is too tight at the top to fit onto the shower where the hose was.

Yup I bet as well I tried a Led shower head flow was terrible so I can't see this being any better. Good idea but it's one of those where if it was perfect and worked we would all of had one years ago but there's a major flaw in the idea.

Who's filling up their bath with the shower?

I use a digital thermometer to get the temperature of the bath for baby daughter, much better to take the reading in the bath then as it flows out the tap

The thermometer costs about the same and I trust abit more then a banggood product imho

Think these are for plumbers as a lot of countries have a maximum temperature can set the shower too when fitting to stop scalds. Sometimes you can override maybe but imagine this for setting up a shower is the use case.

I only quoted the OP. However I am pretty sure some people may fill their baby baths from a shower.

There aren't any. It's one of those great ideas, that's absolutely useless.

better powering a toaster in the shower

Waiting for the Wifi connected shower with 12 colour leds. I can schedule it to come on for 7am, rave and wash at the same time in the morning before work.

Trusting your baby's safety to a piece of £8 tat from Banggood would NOT be wise!

If only we had some sort of exterior covering to our bodies, that when it came in to contact with things you could gauge the temperature. Thankfully we have this kind of cheap technology from china we can rely on to protect our children until evolution catches up!
