Here. Have some heat

Heat but I picked up 3 pairs of shoes for my girls in Clarks itself for £12 per pair yesterday. Worth a look in store.

Heat added - Thank you OP, son's school shoes bought

Both of my local stores didn't have any school shoes in the sale, so maybe store specific

Id say so. Id only buy Clarks school shoes. I personally prefer the scruff resistant shoes, they wear really good, especially for Boys

I used to think Clarks were the best, we wore them as kids, but theyre so cheaply made now I wouldn't buy them again. Had to replace each pair after 1 term without excessive wear or football! Much better with StartRite, Hush Puppies etc

Does anyone know if can get a refund if they dont fit properly if ordered to store.

Also whats the best shoe for a 9 yr old boy that likes to destoy his shoes by kicking footballs - i thought his geox's were ok but they were in bits last week.

Yes, you can return them in store or send them back by post/ collect+ if they don't suit.
Don't know that any of them stand up to football for long, will he not change them at break time?

Always go for something like this johnlewis.com/cla…469

I was recommended these for my boys. They last for ages and don't scuff as easily as most

I ordered a pair from them yesterday - the Jack Shine ones - £21 for a size 13E (£20 for the smaller sizes). My son had a very similar style from Clarks in September and they are still going strong, but will be too small for September. I actually took him in to Clarks a couple of weeks ago to get his feet measured, but wanted to see if I could get them cheaper than in the Clarks shoe shop - was going to buy a brand new pair from a seller on eBay (£19.99 plus £3.25 postage), however, this was a better deal so I got these.

really would recommend buying children's shoes without getting them measured each time by someone qualified.

My son who is 7 only seems to go up one shoe size a year. Why don't you do what I did, and take your children along to Clarks next week and get their feet measured. They usually do allow quite a bit of room for growth, so wouldn't have thought their feet would have grown that much in around 6 weeks or so. I suppose if you do still have doubts, you could also buy the next size up perhaps.

As I've already suggested, take the child along to get their feet measured in Clarks, that is free and you're under no obligation to buy. If anybody wants to know, John Lewis (in Exeter), do actually have a foot measurement for children but I don't know how qualified their staff are at measuring.

Thanks had my eyes on clarks grey lime lace shoes for a while. manage to buy it for half price from JL. pleased bagged a bargains as its full price in clarks!

When he's 13 or so it'll be 2 or 3 sizes up per year

I think you need to all consider, that just because you know a child's size doesn't indicate the show will fit correctly.

great bargain thanks
