Alice In Wonderland

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

The Time Machine

2858605.jpg
The Great Expectations

Pride And Prejudice

Frankenstein

2858605.jpg
Dracula

And many more - in the get link thingie with the post.

Most of the books have illustrations as well, which makes them wonderful to read. The book titles need no introduction per se as most book lovers in here would have heard about them countless times, possibly also read a few of them - if not all.

I have downloaded loads of them myself, with the resolution to read them over the holidays and beyond - wish me luck

Hope it helps someone and oh yes, happy reading everyone...

I usually sort them by price low to high and then look for the titles or authors that I want or the ones I have been recommended/heard of before - and then take it from there.

These older classics (and their translations) are generally in the public …These older classics (and their translations) are generally in the public domain, which means that the books can be printed really cheaply, and they can be found for free without DRM at places like Project Gutenberg, e.g.:A Christmas Carol in Prose; Being a Ghost Story of Christmas by Charles Dickens

Good to know, not everything is covered in greed then -:) classics have to be available freely for everyone to enjoy - more the better
I can confirm in the above, the Pride and Prejudice and Alice in Wonderland have drawings.i have not looked into the others as yet.

Edit, and Great Expectations.

Yes, read it during my college days and reading it again now. Amazing how some books don't go stale even if you read them again and again.

Indeed. I actually find it fascinating the concept came to Shelley in a dream, must of been some dream. Amazing story and very misunderstood.
