Only online movies though ...
This is for online streaming only.
i take the plunge...cant go wrong at this price..
sure it is streaming but a cracking deal (works well on 360!)
there is no app that will let you watch the stuff on your mobile phone. netflix however has such an app
not everyone spends his time watching movies on a phone...
netflix has the best image quality even 720p..
netflix movie library is shorter.
love film is easier to navigate.
you can't get neflix 6 monts for 10 quid...
Good price
the biggest problems with love film (cpared with netflix) are :

1. that since they moved to silverlight (bullied by the movie companies unlike netflix) is that there are zero clients for phones or pc's or macs or in fact anything useful .. however they manage to allow sony, samsung etc to have one on their tv/bluray players ..

2. the interface to search for films or tv episodes is AWEFUL ! you have to wade through every single tv episode of every series (rather than aggregating them together with a collapsable group entry) ... very painful to find something of interest

good for value POOR for usability
Shame its not for games ::::(((((((((((((((((((((

yep silverlight sucks big time.

how about: imdb.com/sea…t=1
also with netflix you can watch the US content by changing your DNS servers, so even more content!
As we have just got unlimited on BT im tempted but saying that having a free month of Netflix has resulted in kids glued to a screen maybe not
Voted hot for price
LoveFilm streaming is relatively new, and therefore, there isn't loads of content. I wouldn't bother.

The streaming service I get with my postal package is very weak. Limited choice and all of the newer films cost extra to stream. The worst thing is that the quality of picture is very low. This package says it has the newest movies so it may be different but 6000 titles is still not very many when you include all of the rubbish old TV they have on there.
Sounds a bit like crackle which is at least totally free
Maybe idea is get a few subscribers then they will move along and get mr and newer and better stuff it is six months which in terms of technology is a reasonable time.
Though to be honest I think I'll pass as the kids don't really need but I might try a free month with CashBack during the Easter hols
I've got lovefilm and Netflix.... We watch Netflix all the time (US) on both PS3 downstairs and XBOX upstairs and the streaming quality is fantastic in HD Dolby surround sound.

I tried lovefilm and it keeps buffering and the picture quality is awful! I have 15meg sky broadband which averages at just over 10meg.

Hot deal but no thanks, prefer to pay for Netflix
At £1.66 per month it's got to be worth a try.
Maybe if enough people sign up through this offer it will encourage Lovefilm to enhance the service.
It's a good deal if you're not too fussy what you watch and the quality is fine for me via my Sony Blu-Ray which is connected to Virgin but I think if you're a film lover you will find it very limiting. I've been with LoveFilm for 3 or 4 years and find their 2 film package for £9.99 per month very good value and I generally get things off of my priority list most of the time and try to watch 2 per week so get great value I think when you consider a film can cost £3.49 to stream.

I can't understand why anyone would want to watch films on their mobiles either. Doesn't it eat your battery? With tvs getting bigger and bigger and many films shot in widescreen how does that deliver a quality experience?!!
Remember Quidco if you do order!
I bought 9 months of cheap 2 disc unlimited recently and can't wait for it to end. I never get a recent release and the online stuff is awful.
I've actually managed to watch things on Sky Movies and received it from lovefilm afterwards because I forgot to remove it from my list.

A completely pointless service that keeps going through vouchers like this.

Great deal. I hope lovefilm improve their streaming service with the arrival of the far better netflix (streaming quality + interface).
umm the netflix content is a joke (uk content) lovefilm service isn't amazing (clunky app on ps3 anyway) but it has a huge amount more films to watch and the new high quality streams are quite a bit better. you could change your dns and watch us content but then why not just download everything from torrent sites
I trialled love film before Xmas for the 3 month offer, I must say I was really unimpressed with the content. Anything remotely new was pay per view, which was about £3.50 I think. They were also a pain in the **** to cancel but saying all that; for the price you should get your money's worth.
Don't forget to cancel at least a week early
Netflix is great quality........the selection though is awful. Havent found anything worth watching in their selection. Little one love the rugrats though
Netflix quality has really impressed me. When at "xtra high" (or whatever its called) it's excellent though it can be frustrating when quality drops and increases on the fly - better than buffering and I only have a shabby Sky wireless router so my fault really.

Lovefilm's streaming is woeful. Even when just watching on a 17 inch laptop display the quality is blocky and pretty dire. I'm sure it won't stay that way for long due to the "Stream Wars!".

Having just moved house I've decided to ditch Sky Movies in favour of just box officing the new movies I want mixed in with a Netflix membership for the TV they have (Breaking Bad has been sensational so far). Quite happy with this combo.

Hot deal though and well worth people checking out. For the sake of a tenner its good value for money and you can make your own mind up about quality.
Netflix ftw.

Is there a free way to do this? Or do we have to pay for a proxy?

I tell ya, netflix streams so quick it just doesn't make sense Even in HD
problem with that deal is its all cold and crap movies lol

On your PS3/Xbox change your DNS settings to manual and

Primary DNS Server : 208.122.23.22
Secondary DNS Server: 208.122.23.23

Might sign you back out, just sign back in and then you'll be good to go. Much better selection of TV/Films.
No problem with LoveFilm streaming here. Quality is fine and good selection if you only want to watch 2 or 3 films a week. The films are a couple of years old but I don't mind.
All the seasons of Lost are on there too.
Bargain for £10.
Netflix > Lovefilm. Have used both Lovefilm does not work even on a good connection.
in all honesty once you got Netflix USA this does become pointless, we use to have Lovefilm (still 5 months left on sub) and once we got USA Netflix it has not been watched once, I saw my wife spend about 40 mins on there the other night looking for something, I think she settled on Cloudy with a chance of meatballs...

But you are effectively wasting a tenner, as Netflix USA is so much more advanced with current content it is daft to join Lovefilm, if for some reason you dont want to watch Netflix USA and stick with Netflix UK then it is worth joining Lovefilm....

As I said I have both and wished Lovefilm would have more content, but it just can not compare
Lovefilm streaming is awful. Netflix is a lot better.
I am a subscriber of both Lovefilm and Netflix.

Lovefilm is far superior to Netflix. This is a good deal, heat!
More on Netflix v Lovefilm... Here

For me this is a hot deal as I wan't a friend to access the 'Bollywood' content on their laptop.

OT, but I've just been looking at the Netflix DNS hack and I have to say it sounds dangerous.

You're pointing your DNS to a rogue server which can return any IP it feels like as authoritative (e.g. connect you to a 'bad' www.natwest.co.uk). Couple this with the common advice people put this DNS into their main router along with the slew of fake SSL certs doing the rounds, and you've got a perfect attack vector to 'jack HTTPS connections.

Just my 2c...
anyone know of a recent "with games" deal?
