Probably a matter of opinion.... I just looked and you can get some desktops but there's only 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen i3's and i5 CPU's which are fine for home user/ office use. Realistically you can probably get cheaper ex corporate PC's from ebay

code works for me, except on their clearance item section. Yes you're right about shipping costs.

EDIT my shipping cost for a Dell Optiplex at £180 is +£36 shipping!

Agreed, I got two XPS 8300 desktops with 5th Gen i7 for £150 on eBay, after another £60 on an SSD they're great for my office.
I'd probably look on Dell Outlet and pick up something there for similar prices (if you're lucky) and it won't have been used for 3 years 24/7 in an office.

you did well there, still a very capable machine that with an SSD. I'm using the XPS8500 (1 year newer) and it still performs excellently.
Really old machines for the price

Probably too old to get security updates for the recent shenanigans and all the screens are less than 1080P. Cold for me.

Which keywords do you search to bring up ex corporate or lease pcs / laptops?
I had a Dell a while back and liked it, so have been lurking around Ebay, HKUD and the Dell Outlet for a while looking for something that is decent spec, but is portable with decent battery life.
Mine is used mainly for business so no need for fancy graphics cards etc, but wanted something robust and fast

There was a deal on last night at Dell Outlet where I managed to pick up a laptop.
It was 25% off until midnight, but I think they come around quite often.
I have noticed that they tend to focus on one model or series at a time, last night was the Dell latitude 5480 and 5580 models.
But keep your eye out and you might get lucky

There were about 20 to chose from, all sorts of specs and combinations and variations in price, (of course all refurbished)

The one I got was a 5480 (i5 7300 U, FHD, 256GB SSD, 8Gb RAM) for £512 delivered.
This seems like a good price as new and for this spec they were closer to £900.
Delivery is in 1 weeks time!

I was searching by model and then adding at least one of the criteria I need, IE Dell 8300 8gb, then filter lowest price first.
As other have stated, you’ll find better value on ebay from one of the plethora of sellers offering ex-corporate machines or even some of the off brand manufacture outlets such as Zoostorm. While the prices aren’t as expensive as I thought they would be they’re still 5-6 year old machines. Early last year I bought a mint HP Compaq 6005, Tri-Core Phenom B75, 250GB, 6GB Ram 7 licensed and installed for £26 delivered. I know it’s a little older than the Dell refurbished offerings but still reasonable performance and excellent value for under £30.
Very expensive for a refurbished laptops.
