I’ve bought myself out of contract early from Virgin due to having constant and really poor reception. Such a shame as they have some great deals at the moment and work off the EE network. I was with EE for 12 months with no issues and went with virgin as I felt being with EE it would be same. AVOID!

yeah those were the days when people would call you and not talk crap because they had to watch their spend, but now people call me all the time and talk crap, I wish people would just call and speak sense and then get off the phone

Good deal with data rollover if you have decent signal in your area.
Thanks OP, good spot.

Is this available for new customers?
The link suggests this is an exclusive deal for existing Virgin Media customers?
This is only for virgin media customers?

This is only for virgin media customers?

If the order is successfully accepted by the system, I don't think Virgin will look into if you're a media customer or not and you should get the sim by post.

Nothing is wrong in trying anyway.

Pretty good deal but if like me, so far this year I've added £10 so far, wifi literally everywhere i go
Im already on a monthly sim from them at £9 odd a month does this include free calls to other vm mobiles does anyone know ?
This is a duplicate of the deal posted here hotukdeals.com/dea…446

Discussion on that thread suggests that you must have a Virgin Media home package already. If you are not an existing customer their system will pick this up and automatically switch you to the £6 a month tariff.

There system cannot check this as it doesn’t link with virgin media it’s a separate system
Jeesh. Used to pay £15pm about 8 years ago for a sim offer like this. Awesome deal

My sister in law just ordered 2 she’s with plusnet didn’t come up with the message your showing
Just purchased the 1 month SIM 1500 mins unlimited texts 1gb data with s9 deal, they reduced to £5. Would prefer the extra gb than unlimited texts. Wonder if they will change it.

You need to do your own homework and find out which network coverage is the best in the area you live and travel

I am on special sim plan, when I signed up for it they said I need to be a Virgin Media or Virgin Mobile customer to get this. Luckily I had Virgin monthly plan already so I signed up to the special sim plan and ported the number out to another network PAYG sim and ported the number in to this new special sim plan which I am on now. And I am still connected and have no issues at all.

I don't really call that a cap because you'll have to spend £25 before they cap you.

Better than nothing though.

No need to add avoid it’s your opinion others will have no issues we get 40mbps in most places we have been and plenty of EE signal. Now ask me to use Three in our area and I wouldn’t because it’s poor coverage but wouldn’t tell the whole of the UK to avoid just because it doesn’t work for us.

Like I always say network coverage depends on where you live and travel so do your homework before you order and make use of 14 days cooling off period

Virgin mobile signal strength is not the same as originator network signal strength (EE). Varies for everyone.

Try before you buy next time rather than assuming.

Yes, on a lot of phones you go into data settings and can set up a restriction cap of your choosing. My cap is 2gb, so I set mine to 1.9gb to be sure. Once it reaches 1.9gb it turns off data until you either manually increase the cap or the billing cycle you set up resumes.

There is no ability to restrict data usage with VM directly unfortunately, though this would be welcomed by many I'm sure.
Cheers all for your answers.
Very helpful.
Thanks
