I think you do need to log in

Great way to alienate potential customers. I despise being forced to log in anywhere.
I'm in mountain rescue and use lowa boots all the time, excellent quality and last a lifetime. Fit wise I go up half a size as I use thick socks but pretty spot on size wise.
Amazing value this

Any comments on quality, durability, comfort and sizing of these much appreciated. I have not worn this brand before and don't know much about it. Thanks
Am I missing something or can't you look unless you log in?

Why do they do it? I can count on one hand how many retail websites I've encountered where you have to log in to even browse. Just ridiculous.

hmm, not sure, maybe so they don't appear on comparison websites such as pricespy or idealo? Why would someone want to do that I don't know, but insurance companies do that too?

Surely it's counter-productive though? I, for one, would never buy from them now. It just seems ridiculous to make it difficult for customers to see what you're selling.

Anyway, rant over, voted cold on the basis of not even being able to see the boots.

Agreed, not interested is the boots(great price voted hot btw) but would like to browse without logging in. Won’t bother with this site though.
Cheapest i've seen these. Paid 90 for a pair of Taurus a few weeks ago so gutted about those but for just over 88 quid for these is a big saving.

I did pay with a credit card though, just in case it all goes wrong hahaha
Fantastic boots well recommended from me and a decent price but this site is not great... Heat added...

Don’t forget to add 15mm to your foot size. They also have choices of medium or wide fitting in various colours

Had the (male) Renegades and they’re the only pair of boots I’ve had that have split within a year. From the reviews I’d seen tho, this appears to have been a one-off and had no other issues (size and fit were comfy).

I bought from Amazon and they refunded me no issues, so credit to them too.

As mentioned above, this is a belting price

Great deal , just dont wear these in warm weather as your feet will be baking in them but there great in the cold & wet.I already had a pair of each of mids and low rise from merrell for the last 4 years now and there still going great. It's a shame there a lot less breathable.

Gutted that I don’t need these or I’d defo have them. Love Lowa boots, amazing quality.

Your loss. The site is great, I spent about £300 this week on stuff and saved over £350. Plus there's an extra 10% off this weekend.

Iowa as a brand are good.

Of course you will! I think the main reason they do it is to track what people look at so they can tailor the sales. There's a lot of SUP and tri-suits, cycling gear etc which is on the site but I usually get the climbing/trail/skiing stuff sent as offers. It's quite specialised, I wouldn't buy stuff from elsewhere without checking SP - If your not into active stuff a set of leki poles isn't going to do it for you.

I'm 100% certain that it must cost them in potential sales. I could well have bought those boots but I wouldn't buy from there now as a point of principle. Fortunately there aren't many websites who use the same business model so I'm still left with plenty of choice.
It's a pretty strange move in 2019 e-commerce to force people to log in to browse, pretty much a 101 in this business.

Anyway, great price for a great boot, very well reviewed in general.
I had some of these and they were super comfortable - really happy. About 18 months after purchase the outer stitching started to come undone. Quick visit back to Cotswold Outdoors who do 2 year guarantee on footwear and immediate swap for new ones. I liked the boots but valued the the extended guarantee
This is a great price. I'm climbing Kilimanjaro next year and spent an hour recently in Cotswolds Outdoors trying various boots on, and came away with these being the best fit for me (I was recommended to go a whole size up on my normal size).

Pretty sure they could do that less invasively, in fact pretty much transparently, with cookies.
I have the same attitude as Deeky, forcing potential customers to create accounts to view items is bad practice. I'll not bother with them.

Is it also possible that this way other shops wont price match them since most have in condition "Price must be available to public" since you have to be a "member" on this website?
Ordered hope these are a bit softer than my solomons which I cant stand

Thanks may go to 11 to be safe
For anyone that owns these, I usually buy a size 12 but I can fit a finger behind my heel on my Merrells, so figure I should go size 11? I was wondering if these are on the tighter side so stick with 12 or go 11? I've been waiting for a price drop on these forever!!

Good luck with the climb, amazing view. I would recommend something like a cycling mask or something similar, great to filter the dust during the walk while still very breathable, also helps with the summit when it gets extremely cold, it sort of stops cold air going directly when you breath.

A number of other climbers had nose bleeds from the dust because they rub their noses, hence the recommendation.
