Far too big. Try the Osprey Farpoint 40 litre. It's the max carry on size (I've used it with Ryanair and easyJet) and the best in it's class. It's around the same price as OP's deal.
Excellent bags, so comfortable and really well thought out features. Ive turned the bottom of mine into a camera comparment, adding padding etc. Very versatile bag.

You can get the Lowe Alpine 45l for £50 on their site and it is excellent (I have it as well).
Can't believe this is vote cold, makes me wonder why I bother posting in the first place, may be my last post - at least £70-80 saving on other retailers, excellent quality and idiots voting it cold....

No, but they have the 45l in the sale as well (think it's down to £50).

And the maximum carry on is not 40l - The cheap and poorly constructed Cabin Baggage Max is 44l - and the excellent Lowe Alpine one is 45l.

You're right. Ryanair has a stricter limit of the two airlines I've mentioned, 55x40x25cm which is 44000cm^3 which is 44l.

I didn't mean to imply that the osprey Farpoint was the actual biggest allowed, although that is how my post reads. I just wanted to recommend a bag that has served me well on my back and also as a carry-on near the limit.

No worries, but the 45l Lowe Alpine is allowed as well (they have a tag with it which lists all the airlines its allowed as cabin baggage (most airlines) and Ryanair and Easyjet are on the list, I've expired this now because of clowns marking it as cold - idiots ruin this site for everyone else - their is no valid reason to mark a quality product and a genuine deal cold.

Try not to be too disheartened. I agree it's annoying when deals you know to be good go this way, but I'm sure you've still helped someone.

Tip for next time (may or may not help - voters are fickle!): put either the amount saved or the original RRP in the title too, so people can instantly see what the saving is. You're right - £70+ saving is a great deal in a good product, but most people don't bother clicking through for more info.

Also, with quite a high end niche product like this, a bit of blurb in the description about why this bag is the bees knees might help folk who've never spent >£30 on a bag before realise why this might warrant the price tag.
Ordered thanks, the deal is still available in black and also turquoise at the price. Reviews of internet are excellent and it has been difficult trying to find a deal on a branded bag suitable for trad climbing (hard wearing, front full zip, 65l+ size).
