ARGH! Going away on Sunday and already picked up one of those ugly £5 holdalls from Argos! :x

Brilliant, my friend has been looking for a cabin bag, this will be ideal for her, thank you, heat added.

Off to Matalan tomorrow for my Holiday luggage.

Thanks.

BEFORE BUYING READ THIS THREAD....

hotukdeals.com/ite…at/

It summarises to - they are OK for your own use/handling but not suitable to be used in baggage handlers juggling classes.

So in your car, on the train and coach holidays are OK - but not on flights.

I have one and I would say that it's ok for a few flights, but it's certainly not a long-term investment...I've been on 4 flights with mine (all USA) and the general condition is fine, but there are light rips in the back.

I take it the 3 for 2 offer is not being done on these anymore?

I may get a small one for when the kids go to gran's. I don't drive and I'd prefer to pull a suitcase than lift a heavy holdall.

Better hurry as I got the last remaining 20' Case (cabin bag) for £5.50
The bags may be good for a couple of trips, however, what do you expect for less than £8???
USEFUL TRAVEL TIP:
If your bag is damaged enroute, most carriers provide a Free replacement bag which is generally better quality than those sold by Matalan.
I recently received a complimentay hard suitcase when one of my soft trolley suitcases was damaged while flying with Lufthansa. However, make sure you claim damages, by informing your carrier, before you leave the luggage area. The damages not covered are bag handels and wheels. If you are not sure, just ask, as you never know, you might get lucky

75% off on the ones in the Pic and 1/2 price on other soft suitcases.
Hard suitcases are not on sale yet.

These do actually say they are 75% off on the website but you can only buy any matalan stuff in store the website is only to browse

I went yesterday, and came back with loads of clothes
Cheers to OP!!

Shame they do not have online selling system -_-!

I usually say "you get what you pay for" but with suitcases it really is a hit or miss. A friend invested in a £60 suitcase which was then damaged beyond repair on it's first trip inside a plane! I purchased the 24" & 28" cases from Matalan yesterday and at a cost of £14 for both I really can't moan if they don't last. A tip from my hubby ......... always take a roll of duck tape on hols (to repair any rips!) :giggle:

must say that this is great. went in to matalan beaumont leys, leicester and they had loads of the £6.50 ones. must say that it is worth it and is a must have. Also, found loads of mens jumpers for £4 and t-shirts for £3... GREAT DEAL...thanks OP

I went in to my local matalan at wellingborough, and they had hardly anything

Matalan Gt. Yarmouth today had the great deals on mens t-shirts & jumpers:thumbsup:
Unfortunately the luggage only had 50% off full price........I have noticed this before when the 75% deals have been on in other branches, our store sometimes fails to follow suit.:?
