yes they are, and also in various poundland style shops

save yourself £6.95

very cold deal!

I paid just over £2 in B&M. Also had a digital set from ebay for under £3 delivered.

I bought a set of these from TJ hughes a while back..... complete rubbish. It told me my bag was 10KG empty and 30KG full. When I got to the airport it was 17KG full. Not even close to being accurate!

Maybe the cheapo ones are inaccurate which is why it might be worth paying more for a better quality set. These devices if properly made & calibrated should work perfectly. How yours managed to be 13KG out is quite staggering - I'd certainly take it back to TJ Hughes for a refund.

are they these exact scales? I've got a pair that work great, not sure about risking getting incorrect readings on a cheapo pair for the sake of a fiver tho...

Why not just put them on your regular bathroom scales ?

Because it would be a pain in the butt taking your regular bathroom scales on holiday just to use them for the trip back.

i tried that, but then i couldn't read the dial that told me the weight, and if i moved the bag over it didn't give the right reading

i got a set of these for £3 in a local store, and thought my bag weight about 18kg and when i got to the airport it was 9.1kg. maybe i read pounds instead of kilograms

Got a scale similar to this for 2.99 in Asda at the weekend. As far as accuracy goes, would it be so difficult to test load a carrier bag with items in your home which you know the weight of, up to maybe 5 or 10kg (packs of rice, pasta, sugar, etc)?

Same ones on the Bay for less than £2.50! (280456907952)

I got some from the Poundshop that look almost identical.
I'm pretty sure they do the same thing too lol
