We have a Lumie model (though not this one) and would heartily recommend. Very peaceful way to be woken up. You can of course get a similar effect by using a smart bulb. We have Yeelights and there's a sunrise setting on them (Hue have a similar setting I believe). No audible alarm though.

These are great, really do work well
cheaper than on more reliable then using kids to carry this function out. super
Does this work if you sleep with the curtains open?
What if the Mrs gets up at a different time??
Pretty cool, you can just buy Wi-Fi bulbs to do the same kinda thing now tho. I use the Phillips hue ones with the orange glow

Mine does that, she gets up AFTER I make her a cup of tea
Been using this clock for about 2 years now, it's great as I wake up slowly about 15 minutes before the alarm actually goes off. One thing I will say is the buttons are so incredibly loud when pressing them but not a huge deal as you don't need to use them much. Also the display is very bright at night so often put my phone over it to cover it.
