I have been using a Lumie light for a few years and it really helps me in the mornings, especially during the winter. This is the cheapest I have seen these lights from Lumie.

They are refurbished, but the last one I got was as-new. I guess they are returns from people making use of their free trial.

The normal price for this one is £79.95.

Yes, it has an analogue radio, not DAB. However, the price of wake-up lights is usually quite high.

I bought one for each of the kids to help get them up in the morning. I would probably be better off investing in a taser for them, but it is worth a go.

I don't have problems rising in the mornings

Looks good, bought one ;-) Radio services will stop broadcasting on analogue by the end of 2015 but it doesn't really matter as I guess it's really about the light and it has alarm sound as well

All these wake-up lights are horrendously priced for what they are anyway, it's just a radio with a light!

I got a cheapo version free with an office supplies order - the radio reception was awful and it emitted a high pitched buzz from the power supply yet the retail was still £50!! What are these Lumie ones like in that respect? Does phone interference get picked up?

I think they've revised that to 2020+. Considering barely any new cars come with DAB for a start, let alone how slow the takeup has been, they'd be mad to do it then anyway.

Dimmable lighting for use as a bedside light...Multi-functional products,haha...worth trying.

not a very accurate way of setting the alarm..

May be 'less than half price', but its still an awful lot of money for what it is to my mind. (Almost certainly made in China for around £2.)

This is a good price. Lumie stuff is fairly good quality, reliable and simple to use unlike some of the others out there. Yes even at half-price it's quite expensive when you consider the components used but no other decent brand wake up lamp is as cheap as this.

Just get up and turn the light on.

Bloody hate getting up in the morning but still seems expensive just for a light on a timer.

Just get up and turn the light on.

That only works if you are a sleepwalker

Light on a dimmer, on a timer. It wouldn't really work if it turned on to full brightness straight away.
