You can get 12 now for £53.23 using code "mystery15" That work out at £4.43 a bulb now.

These were just over £4 in June so not sure that this is that hot. Also, dimmable ones won't dim very well compared to old gu10s unless you have an LED specific set up

I have never seen these below 8 quid since March, and have been watching them, waiting for a price drop

I work in a nationwide electrical wholesalers, we have had loads of led lamps over the last couple of years, I have tired a variety of them.
Really you need to try one in your house to see if it's what you want - they vary wildly in performance.
The main problem I have found is the light just does not reach the floor properly! (though they look brighter)
Put one next to a normal halogen/ccfl bulb and you immediately see a 'shadowing' on the floor where the led lamp is installed.
Just my experience - buying 8 is a big outlay and if you don't like them you are stuck with them.
Also be aware some brands will need new drivers too - and dimable ones are special lamps.

Will have a read of this later thanks op, I just use standard bulbs, not LED, what's the price difference like as I am new to this type of thing.
Thanks

I would have to say hot!

I usually buy from Light rabbit:

they look identical but 50p dearer and no freebie

How did you get 12 at £3.36 each? Thanks.

10% off on quidco too.
Beware the size of the 4.6W bulb for £4.92, which is 76 mm long. Might not fit a lot of sockets. The OP's one is 55mm long which fits everywhere.

OP - Don't confuse these with cheap Chinese imports of fleabay.

Chinese imports does not necessarily imply bad. As per BBC' The Box That Changed Britain, you would left with just four walls if you take out chinese imports from your house.

LEDhut is 99.99% likely to be selling the same so-called chinese imports and where else the likes of OSRAM & Philips gets their LEDs made.

May be, LED hut is importing reasonable quality stuff but chinese.

I said CHEAP Chinese imports, there is a difference. I wouldn't plug any of that into my electrical system in the house.

Thanks OP and ..ND..
Just ordered 12 for £40 delivered.

Ordered 3x E14 Golfballs, Mystery15 code worked fine fot me, thanks OP.

Trying to place an order, applying a discount code seems to be removing the 'buy 6 get 1 free' offer.
Does that mean you can only have one or the other
however earlier posts suggest you could combine the offer,
as orders were placed at 12 op bulbs for £53.23.
I can only get down to £62.32,
For those that used a code, were you able to use a code and get bulbs free
Any help appreciated , thanks

The "mystery15"code, did work with the "buy6 get1 free" offer. It looks like that has expired now. There was also the 10% cashback with Quidco. I got 24 of these and that is my whole house on LED's now.

The way the wife and kids don't seem to understand that lights can also be turned off, as well as on, should save me a few quid over the coming months. Not to mention the halogen GU10's blew quite consistently.

"LEDMORE" code works and gives 15% off today, and 10% off tomorrow, if anyone is thinking of ordering.
