Think this looks really nice. Can be used as a trifle bowl or salad bowl (confirmed in reviews), not sure you could get away with it being a fruit bowl (which I was originally looking for!). Edit: Actually, think it'll be okay, reading further reviews.

OMG, my grandmother has the very same set
Other Aspen items seem to be coming from abroad with silly P&P charges. More Aspen items here
(some describe them as Arcoroc, same company but they're targeted at different markets, I think)

This listing is a bit baffling!! Got my measuring tape out and 10cm wouldn't be very deep for salads or trifles either. The image is the wrong one and reviews suggest it holds plenty.

Elsewhere in the listing it says the depth is 10.5" which sounds more like it. All I can do is add further reviews that refer to sizing.

Beautiful BIG trifle bowl. Much admired.

Wondering whether to order this as a would-be fruit bowl and see what turns up

*Actually, two reviews suggest you can use it as a fruit bowl.

This looks very classy and more expensive than it is. Large bowl for trifle, salad, fresh fruit whatever you need it for. Fine but strong glass with lovely leaf pattern. This will be extremely useful for us.

Rene Lalique started with just plain glass & if you see a quality piece of art deco glass you should really take a second look at it. His works from 1900-1940 are worth thousands. Some of it looks like rubbish but worth a mint.

Sorry, my comment didn't mean to imply I don't care, was just thinking about what mum said recently about her collection of crystal, that she thinks younger ones don't collect or find crystal appealing nowadays.

No offense taken at all. Was just saying that Rene Laliques most expensive work was in glass not crystal. Thats all.

If it looks rubbish, why is it worth so much? Sounds like the banana in an art museum event all over again.

I got in touch with Amazon to ask them to amend the image and fix the dimensions - you can tell by reviews even the purchasers aren't sure what they're going to receive, and they're surprised it's so big Amazon's shonky listings strike again!
The Amazon listing is back again, must go in and out of stock.39707153-YmeiH.jpg
