Switched to the Aldi version at £2.15 recently and it's unlikely I'll be switching back. Tastes as good as Lurpack.

    Nordpak is better, and cheaper.

I now prefer Tescos Butterpak Spreadable @£2.30. I only tried it after lurpak put their prices up, but much prefer it

I wonder if lurpak are worried about losing market share with people trying alternatives so have decided to put the price down to stop people shopping around

I agree, they will slowly reduce the price, and stop, once they see no more loss in the market share. Thus keeping the price as high as they can. I now use the Lidl equivelent, and love it.

Still use real butter, at times.

@sterling92 you might want to add that blue light card holders get 10% off their shopping taking this to £3.15

If you think this is a Hot Deal you are seriously delusional!

Spot on. All crazy prices. Just because they slightly decrase and over inflated price, it does not mke it a deal. Lurpak should be ashamed of themselves.

Any alternatives for the unsalted version?

Tesco alternative has come a long way with improvements and makes an excellent almost indistinguishable substitute (edited)

    Aldi version not nice

Before the cost of living crisis, normal offer price for this is £2.50. Since then, even normal supermarket brand butter has risen from 99p to £2 for 250g.

35p back in rewards so effectively £3.15
