Thanks so much cara22 - I buy this all the time but it can be expensive. Shall stock up tomorrow. Great find, well done.

Been waiting for this price deal, another happy punter stocking up!

Very good price, the best you normally get is £2.50. This is a bargain.

Haha thank you

If you're a Costco member the 1kg tubs are usually around £5, sometimes on offer at £4

This offer has been running at Iceland for several weeks now. It's a great offer. So much so that the first two occasions I went in the shelves were bare. Got lucky a third time but these seem to go very quickly at this price. Reasonable dates too so they aren't particularly short-dated either.

Apparently (I'm reliably told), Aldi's own 'Lurpak' imitation is almost indistinguishable from the genuine one and is a standard price of around £1.80, should anyone be interested in a more permanent lower priced option.

I'm an Aldi fan but their Lurpak imitation is poor - far lower butter content like most of these spreads..

yeah, 4s about right, any more is pushing it date wise, lol.

Really ?

I've always recognised 'block' Lurpak as being obviously superior to Lurpak Spreadable in taste. That stands to reason. But if you say Aldi's imitation is notably inferior again, in content anyway, I'll take your word for it until I sample and compare myself. Which I have been meaning to.

Great find, will be ' In like Flynn ' tomorrow.

Heated.

I'd be interested to know what you think. I thought it was OK (though inferior to Lurpak) but wife had a stronger opinion! I had to promise not to buy again .
