Cheap case for Huawei Mate 20 Pro £1.45 @ fonefaculty ebay

Was a bit gutted that Huawei didn't provide a free tpu cover for the mate 20 pro in the retail box (they did with my Honor 9).

I had a good browse on eBay, Ali express and Amazon, and didn't find anything cheaper than this with UK delivery in a matter of days.

I have used something very similar for my Honor 9 and that survived multiple drops over 18 months.

Ordered Wed arrived Friday. The quality is good, all cut outs for camera, the various mics and usb c port are in the right place.

Any questions please ask.

Out at the moment, but I stuck the phone in the case, it fits perfectly and camera cut outs are correct, all ports are accessible Inc cut outs for the various mics etc. It's no brainer at £1.45, comparable to cases in the £2 - £4 range.

Handy for the Mrs when I pass the phone on. She always has a flip case coz phone in bag with the kitchen sink!
Looking at the pic on ebay the camera cut out is not for mate 20 pro. Take it, the photo is just wrong?
It's a bit dearer at £12 but I can't recommend the smart flip view case enough. Had mine for a year now and absolutely love it.

I actually prefer the blue to the black. It's a very subtle difference and more a dark bluey grey really, but it just works for me.

My wife has the same phone and case and is very happy indeed with it.

The thing I like about the case I posted is it wraps all sides of the phone, within the tpu rubber. With the case closed, it offers good protection if dropped.

Edge screen phones are prone to cracking if dropped ackwardly. This cheap case protects the phone.

I dropped (from not very high, not standing height) my p20 pro in the equivalent one of these and it shattered into a thousand pieces. Looks nice but will offer zero protection for your device.
Does make me laugh that people spend £100s on a phone and then skimp out on a proper protective case for it.

Fair comment. I've never actually damaged any of my phones and have always had this kind of case. Had HTC before and had their dot view case which is almost identical. I just like being able to date and time and alerts etc without actually having to open it.

I've had a mobile phone since they first came out and have never damaged one. I had a similar case for my HTC previously (the Dot View) which was almost £30 initially. Nothing to do with skimping, I just like the functionality, but I get what you mean.

I'd never damaged one either, but this slipped out of a pocket when standing up, and as someone has stated before, if these phones land on an edge, in these cases, they smash.
Ive since dropped the phone from higher but in a protective case and its been protected. The view cases look nice but don't offer any protection to the device.
It was £200 for a new screen

This is a case for when ya going into town for a few shandies!
Case is fine, basically soft tpu rubber protection all round those silly edges and back, plus pu leather wrapped around it to protect it further.

My similar Honor 9 case has survived multiple drops and the phone and case still looks new after 18 months, and no cracked screen.

I was looking at that case but don't like the fact that the top part just opens there's no clasp or magnet to keep it shut
Case showed up today. Can't go wrong for less than 1. 50. Proper going to the pub case.
Did anyone's arrive stinking mouldy and musty? As if it was stored in a damp cellar.
No way it's going near my new Mate. I'm still on the lookout.

I went for a magnetic clear glass case in the end.
i bought this, if you don't like flip cases i highly recommend, smooth and well fitting for under £4

Sounds interesting, do you have a link to it please?

I'm trying to get my head round what I am actully seeing. Does the top still lift up like a hinged flap so you can use the phone, or does it just encase the whole thing in glass and you operate the phone through the case please?

Also, the photos appear to be completely clear, but the only options to buy are coloured, black or silver?

Your second observation is correct as the enrire phone is encased. Colour refers to the whole edge of the case, I just went for black.

General usage is responsive and fingerprint unlock works. Strangely fingerprint authentication doesn't though. Things like banking apps and password managers just won't recognise your print through the glass.

It increases the size of your phone, like any case will, but only marginally. I definitely notice some extra weight to the phone though. The many magnets it uses are strong thankfully.

Brilliant cheers. The Fingerprint thing probably kills it for me to be honest, which is a real shame as I like the idea and the look, but it's real world usage examples like you have just given that you just can't get from a website selling the item, so much appreciated.

I'd hope someone else with this case could chime in too. Maybe it's user error

But I did try adding fingerprints after installing the case as I read that can help. Alas not so far.

I've just noticed today that supercharge doesn't work when the cover is in use
All in all the downsides are beginning to outweigh the upsides
