That's an improvement. Well done. Should have used that to make your original point instead of using a reference source which loses credibility to the point you're making...

How patronising; everything on Wikipedia has to be sourced, and it's by definition a collation of information for ease of readability. The lancet is even cited in the Wikipedia article that was linked.

Research is key. Just because you and your family haven't died from eating a large amount of lychee does not mean others haven't. Its a well known fact that this occurs in India at lychee season. Find the media that you prefer and see if they have a article on it.

Even the BBC have a article on it: bbc.co.uk/new…240

Anyway, this is not a scare tactic. The fruit is very good for you. Just don't feed a KG of it to your children for breakfast.

I think its more like, don't starve your children half to death and then make 80%+ of their diet purely lychee.
Great advice which I'm sure is applicable to each and everyone of us.
For those who dont know about Lychee, only eat the skin and black seed, not the whites in between

Warning these don’t taste anything like chees

'All' and 'usually' in this context is an oxymoron.
Love them. Haven't had for a while.
Bought some yesterday, didn't even think of posting it as a deal.

They are like a weak raspberry in flavour, and a fleshy grape in texture, and have a large pip in the middle. I like them but they arne't something I crave.

doubt anyone in UK is so poor as to be malnourished yet rich enough to buy lychees by the truckloads.

this happened because kids where only eating lychees for breakfast lunch and dinner probably several days or weeks in a row. As their families too poor to eat anything else.

unless ppl here plan on starving their kids of all other types of food for a week and only feeding them lychees instead. It isn't an issue.

though like everything in life, moderation and variety is essential to be healthy.

I already clarified that previously. Dont feed a large amount to your children for breakfast on an empty stomach
TBH it doesn't say how much they ate to cause this problem but, I guess as you say, we can assume it was a large amount and maybe throughout the day?
