Not my favourite thing to buy! But this can cost nearly £13 in the chemists.

Good deal but most Pharmacies give it out free as part of the Pharmacy first scheme ( not means tested). I say most, the ones near me do. It seems to be nationwide, but not everywhere,

"If you have your child with you and they are registered at a gp and have any of the following - acute pain, conjunctivitis, constipation, diarrhoea, headache or earache, hayfever, headlice, sore throat or a high temperature, then you will be given something without charge."

( Dont mean to poop your deal, just adding to it x Just mentioned as my £1 shop is 6 miles away and my pharmacist is 6 minutes

Great post, my chemist also does this but you have to take evidence in to prove your child needs it! Rather gross! So for £1 I would buy this
There's a Minor Ailment scheme here in Scotland which sounds similar. Pharmicists give OTC meds free rather than charge for children, elderly or anyone on benefits. Free on prescription from doctor, too, for everyone - all prescriptions free in Scotland.

Evidence being?.. ( My evidence was my first experience of nits in our house, took her to chemist, Pharmacist asked to see her, stood a foot away from her and asked if I had seen 'live lice', to my response, yes, ones just fallen on your shoe.
please do not buy this, use a nit comb and comb through your childs hair daily, all children should use a fine tooth comb daily, lice with broken legs cannot hang on and lay, not the nicest thing to deal with but when mine where of age to get these i use to only wash their hair once a week on a friday night and used lavendar oil in final rinse, and every morning before school used to comb hair through with a mans tooth comb and when they came home same again

I agree,i use conditioner and the comb to check my kids hair. Once they have has nits a few years ago and a few days combing with conditioner got rid of them. I don't check them every day now but check every couple of weeks or weekly if i know someone in their class has head lice.
Only takes one in the class not to deal with it then they all have lice
You Can Also Get A Nit Comb Called Nitty Gritty They Are 10pds To Buy But You Can Get One On Prescripton ........

Unfortunately with the likes of lotions like this people wack it on and job done, they see it is a miracle job and all sorted, when infact most of the time they have not got rid of everything and then new ones hatch and back to square one, and then you hear the parents moaning of a reinfestation, no lovey you never got rid of the festation to begin with, it doesnt take long to comb a childs hair daily, but hey buy this instead for a quid and then you dont have to worry about it, till they start scratching again
