Shame no freedbird listed on the album

Is this too good to be true ?

Hardly the 'collection' without Freebird

Banned

top tunes saw them live a year ago .. brilliant

Worth every penny, agreed just needed freebird.

great find - ordered and heat added thanks OP.

No 'Tuesday's Gone' either but still a bargain for the likes of Sweet Home Alabama and Simple Man, etc.

Ordered this on 10 Feb with 3 others. Still hasn't been dispatched. Hadn't used them before, not sure if I will again!

Is this normal for these cowboys?

without freebird this should be a free cd

I ordered some stuff and it just turned up out of the blue, no dispatch confirmation at all.

Hardly live, only Rossington and Medlocke are left in the band from the early line up and Medlocke was only in that for a year. All the rest are dead. Their former band member list looks like a spinal tap lineup (_;)

Snap.

bought it last week for 99p

Why the obsession with Freebird? Surely most rock fans will already have it in their collection and you can hear it every day (at least once) on any rock radio station, along with other 'popular' rock songs. The tracks on here will not be played every day on the radio so why not be thankful for the chance to hear them.

Many 'big name' bands are in the same position due to members being dead, or have spat their dummy out and left, and are therefore effectively tribute bands to the original. This does not appear to stop people paying £40 plus to see them, yet if you suggested seeing a tribute band for a tenner instead (often with superior musicians) the same people would scoff at you. Aren't folk strange?

all these calls for Freebird remind me of the pub cover bands I used to see, where half the drunken audience would inevitably shout for Freebird, even if the band never actually covered it.

Expired - CD now showing as out of stock

How can they make any money on this?

I'm as guilty as the next man of going to see reformed bands without the full compliment of original members such as The Specials without Jerry Dammers. But to go see a band with only one original member, and then not even the singer, is abohrent to me. One of my favourite bands was Slade but I wouldn't go see the band now without Noddy Holder.
Tribute band wise I have seen many a good one including Limehouse Lizzy one of the best Thin Lizzy tribute bands ever

You're right there. Give me Limehouse Lizzy any day over somebody calling themselves Thin Lizzy without the legendary Phil. It's not necessarily the singer though. How authentic is Guns'n'Roses without Slash for instance? Other excellent tribute bands are Live Wire, Regenesis and Whole Lotta Led. Another benefit is that when I look at the audience I feel young and hirsute again.
