yes thats why i bought it because it was well priced and had good reviews,im convinced i had one built on a friday afternoon and the builder wanted to go home lol.
Mine did last almost 2 years but over that time i had 3 different splits in the bag,the button to extend the nozzle broke and also the lever switch to change from vac to blow broke.
On a positive note it was quite powerful for an electric model and i loved the door on the side of the machine which gave great access for a thorough clean inside, also mine was given a lot of use over this time.

How was it when it worked... i.e. would it actually pick up wet leaves?
It was actually quite good at picking up wet leaves but it did struggle a bit sometimes with the larger leaves i have on my property, but saying that every electric one i have had dont seem to good on large leaves which is why i have just purchased a petrol vac/blower.
The most annoying thing ever made!! Get a rake and avoid your neighbours wrath
