Ordered thanks.
Thank you! Heat added and product ordered.
Ordered. Thanks OP heat added
Thanks for posting I was going to get one last week and didn't get round to it. Saved me £30:00.
Bargain, bought 1 last year great bit of kit unfortunately paid more than this though
Also comes with with a couple of years warranty
Heat. Been after one of these for ages to save getting the ladders out, as above, almost bought one recently for £50, so glad I hung on!
Ordered, and a little bit of cash back as well. Thanks for sharing.

Voted hot for the price and may purchase but what are your thoughts about some of the 1 or 2 star review comments ie weight, motor on the wrong end, poles becoming unhinged or loose after 10 to 15 minutes etc

Thanks for posting - just ordered one - I see in revues that people say it is heavy - but can't be any heavier than the petrol version I have which breaks your back after a short while.
Thanks just ordered

I do find these hard to use for any length of time as the weight is all at the end of the pole. Not used a petrol one but I assume they would be better balanced.
Thanks OP, just nipped to the local store and picked one up

Just what I'm looking for, thanks
Any idea if this would handle a large area of brambles? It's mostly the thin stuff, but some are quite thick.
Rather get this if it works than have to buy/hire a brush cutter.
Yet again must stop looking at this site. More tools that I don't need. Lol.
Ordered thanks
It's a good price I have one it will tackle most hedge related shrubbery however its bloody heavy I'm not a weak person but that motor is at the wrong end even with the strap used you knacker your back, most you can do is 2 maybe 3 minutes before you need to rest lol!

Does make yours arms ache with the weight being at one end
Oh and while my comment is being vetted, let me say that I sent mine back. The joining section with the threaded collar didn't seem anywhere near strong enough to hold the two ends together; so much so that it actually wobbled and felt very insecure. Even at this price I would avoid.
Have one of these. Good but very heavy!
poorly balanced and weak cutting mechanism.
Get the bosch if u don't want to waste your time with the Mac Allister toy
Bought, thanks OP. I currently use a chainsaw which is effective but I can definitely see the potential for serious injury.

Now I just need to find one that picks up the clippings. At the moment I just push the lawnmover over them but I've just put down new gravel so that's a bad idea.
Aargh I bought a crappy small black and decker one a few weeks ago for the same price. I wish I hadn’t now.

Yeah same, its not the easiest thing to hold level at height and with it at an angle to top your hedges. Does the job though and still better than trying to balance on a ladder that you have to constantly go up and down.

Get the Bosch UniversalHedgePole 18 Cordless Telescopic Hedgecutter - wait till it comes on offer, or buy the bare unit without battery and use with other Bosch tools if you already have some.

Ignore the trolls like royals, they are clueless. Once you try the Bosch, you will know its the King of Hedge Poles, accept no compromise and thank me when you buy it

agree, head will snap during 15min but fix will take another 30min,You will need two 5mm or 6mm long bolts and nylon nuts to fix it
I bought this last year, used about half a dozen times, never had any issues with head falling off or poles breaking, yes it may be over balanced but that's what you get with a weighted cutter at the end of a long pole, and yes it does get tiring after a while but not as much when trying to reach with a normal trimmer whilst cutting, overall I would recommend, if not for the practicality then for the price.
That's a poor design, as the motor is in the middle to save money. It looks dangerous frankly!
Thanks, just ordered one. Much better than wobbling on step ladders!
Just what I wanted
Thanks
A lot bigger and heavier than what I expected but does the job.
