Only 3 left so be quick! Know this deal won't be for everyone but £299 for a step into the world of mac will be good for somebody. The best thing is this is the 2012 model that you can install your own RAM and fairly easy to install a new HDD in too...in contrast to this years model that has soldered RAM and a closed base plate!

Late-2012 Model
Ex Demo unit from KRCS Store. Boxed with all accessories - Excellent condition
Apple warranty until 26/12/2014 (extend until 26/12/2016 with AppleCare - sold separately)
2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
4GB of fast 1600MHz DDR3 memory - and a 500GB - 5400rpm hard drive
Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor onboard

Cheers, was waiting for a cheap one of these to pop up. Hoping for no scratches etc. seeing as it's Ex-demo

Will just pop in either 8/16gb of RAM and an SSD into it and voila

EDIT: Would it be smart to go for the extended apple care? 130 quid for 2 years

I voted HOT but should have voted COLD when I read "Apple warranty until 26/12/2014 " - just 1 month warranty????

so it's nearly 2 year old ex demo unit? - so second hand is a better description if it's been running all that time?

Since new one is 399 is it really that cheap for second hand model?

I bought the cheaper one that now out of stock that has 90 day KRCS warranty....be worth contacting store to see about if applies tot these models afterwards as otherwise daft it cost more. TBH I will be pulling mine apart and putting in a SSD which voids warranty anyway!

On the other note I've bought from these guys loads and several clearance products I have bought have always been in spotless condition. If not happy just call or pop in any of their shops...great customer service!

Depends on what you are looking for. User upgradable RAM and easy access to the HDD are worth it for me....like I said it is not a deal for everybody!

I think that these ones are actually sought after because they are upgradeable, at least for the RAM. The latest ones have soldered in RAM.

I'd speak to the shop first about warranty....like I said if you put in your own SSD probably not IMHO as won't cover it anyway....I'd look at it like this...if you pay the extra £130 you could buy new one for £380 from Currys so you aren't saving anything....the main reason to buy this is so you can spec it out for cheap...thats why you won't see the i7 version around at decent price anywhere now!

Fair enough...I've expired it...knew they would go quick for those who want to spec it out!

Good point, was going to go for the i7 solely for peace of mind, but can't justify the extra 300-odd quid when I'm not doing anything as intensive as video editing or processing. Just gave them a call and the guy was very helpful, reassured me that they're not even a year old yet and have been kept very well. Can return within 14 days if I'm not happy with the condition of it anyway.

Thanks a lot.

Just over £70 more for brand new with full warranty makes this the better option to me.

Yeah like I said it wasn't for everyone! £70 is still £70 to me but didn't share this deal for heat...shared it as some people like me would rather put that money towards ram when going to change hdd anyway!
