Yup, nice whisky but it's not £40+ nice. Not when you've got whiskies like Clynelish 14, Oban 14, Balvenie 14, Bunnhabhain 12, all at under £45.

Just think, at around £55-£60 you could get a bottle of Springbank 12yr, which admittedly is very limited and released only twice a year, so you have to be quick before it shoots up to £70 and more thanks to scalpers, but that's a bloody Cask Strength 12yr Campbeltown whisky and it makes Macallan 12yr look like drain water in comparison.

Heck if you want a beautiful sherried Speyside whisky at around £50-£55 then look towards the sensational Glenfarclas 15yr. Significantly better than Macallan.

Can’t live in the past, agree not the lowest ever but it’s the best current price I can find
Overpriced at anything above £40 (bought the Fine Oak version from Amazon for £30 in 2017). Far better to get a Bunnahabhain 12 for considerably less and a better single malt imo.
