For this money it could last a year and break and it wouldn't matter. Hot

Cheers to OP, just grabbed one from the Wigan store, they had about 20 on display

Just bought one from Ipswich store. A few left. Great value find thanks. SDS is an Invaluable tool for drilling or chiselling very hard stone and concrete etc. which a high speed hammer drill cant penetrate.

I'm in the process of renovating house we bought and borrowed sds for all wall chasing/drilling I had to do. Was an invaluable tool so when I saw this price I had to get one.

Got plenty of wattage and is quite compact. Will prob end up testing it today. Well worth a buy.

hi, I live in an house which has solid concrete internal walls so struggle drilling into the walls, would this work?

(just to give u an idea when go builders in to knock kitchen/dinning room into one room they quoted for 1/2 days work to knock the wall down and took them 3 days!! )

SDS drills are far more powerful than standard hammer drills, not only is the bit held firmer by the design of the chuck but they generally have more powerful motors and incredible hammer action.

There ideal for reinforced lintels so should suit your purpose.

Or to put it another way if this doesnt work your going to struggle with anything.

Does this kit include a conventional chuck?

No ........ the drill, 3 drill bits and 2 chisels.

You can get suitable standard chucks for around £15 on ebay.

Is this a discount price,if so whats the normal selling price.cheers

It's a B&Q when it's gone it's gone deal ... I don't work for them but it seems a new thing they are doing .... I can't find any original price it seems like a special one off deal, but for reference the lower spec 750 watt model is £70 !!

It maybe an unfair comparison but top brands are around £200 for a model of this spec, it has a 3 year guarantee and is well put together, all in all a stonking deal IMHO.

Yes ... and a great price, nice find.

Has anyone noticed how untrue this thing spins the drill bits. I tried 3 of these and each one was worse than the previous. Got my money back in the end. Useless.

Err it would! It requires SDS plus drill bits! Regular ones won't fit!

On another note I purchased my one today in B&Q for £25! For that price it can't be ignored! Walked in looking to buy a drill which could take a large drill bit but not expecting to actually put the money down today as they tend to be pricey. The deal was too good and the warranty is for three years, just make sure you keep the receipt!

got one today from colchester store the first job was to put a 127mm core bit through a cavity wall worked a treat good value at £25.50
