Expensive but a good deal nonetheless. If you are spending 1800 quid on a laptop this looks good.

Has anyone actually bought something from them? This seems suspiciously low...

A rebrand or planned obsolescence?

I’m looking to replace my old MacBook Pro and have noticed a huge increase in posts recently... Would I be silly for making a purchase now?

Just don’t forget you need to buy as many USB-C adaptors as you need. You can expect to pay around £60+ for an average quality dock from Amazon which will include HDMI, cat5, USB3 and memory card slots.
I’m glad I replaced all 7 of our office machines last week from them as they were £50 cheaper.
I originally thought the idea of the touch bar was a load of old tosh, but it turns out it’s pretty awesome.

It is currently mid life cycle so not a bad time to buy at all.

john lewis won't price match jigsaw24

Thank you for your enquiry.

In order to apply a price reduction on a purchase, the criteria in our pricing policy must be met. I regret that after review the request you have submitted does not match all or parts of this policy.
Jigsaw 24 are an online only retailer. Whilst they do have several physical offices, there are no display models or prices available to customers and the customer cannot purchase something in these offices to take away.

In order to match a price request, high street competitors trade on the same basis as us, with premises on a high street or comparable shopping destination freely open to the public in the UK mainland. They should carry a reasonable range of goods in stock for you to buy and take away, with clearly displayed prices. Their websites need to trade under the same brand and on the same basis as their high street shops.

Outlets which trade on a different basis to us, such as those that operate only on the internet or through mail-order, showrooms attached to internet-only companies, collection points, auction sites, factory outlets, membership clubs, duty-free shops, market stalls or home shopping channels, are not deemed equivalent high street competitors. We also don't match competitors who are in administration or closing down.

Therefore, on this occasion I regret that I cannot match the price offered by Jigsaw 24. If you would like to view more information about Never Knowingly Undersold and our pricing you can do so on our website.

I am sorry I have not been able to reduce the price on this occasion. If you require any further information or assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Nice, now learn how to Hackintosh it and you will have the speed of the OSX OS instead of the clunkiness of Windows 10. I grew up on PC's starting with Windows 3.1 up to Windows 7, then I got a Mac and the blue screen of death and program crashing had gone forever!

Don't have a problem at all with Windows 10 (nor OS X) I actually think 10 is as good if not actually better than OS X

Are you sure it's the same hardware? Does it have an aluminium unibody design, or the OLED Touch Bar? Or Thunderbolt 3 ports? Or the massive glass Force Touch trackpad? Individually-lit butterfly keyboard? The same P3-colour gamut high-resolution Retina Display? The large and powerful speakers? Does your Asus really have the same hardware?

Asus probably has a nicer keyboard, the butterfly keyboard just feels weird to me

Glass force LOL

I managed to pick this one up from JL with a ‘damaged box’ last week for £1499 with warranty. Love their red labels. It’s a great machine and well worth even the higher price

I heard that asking in store to buy this laptop without apple logo can save you £1000.

hotukdeals.com/dea…491 doesnt have thunderbolt but is a grand less for pretty much the same specs. Ive had a macbook pro for work and whilst they are nice machines they arent that much different to a good ultrabook. If your set on a macbook then the price is good. Havent voted either way.

That looks a nice machine, and I'm sure more that suitable for the majority of people but to say it is similar hardware is stretching things just a bit too far. Dual core CPU vs Quad core, inferior screen in terms of resolution, colour accuracy and gamut, much slower SSD, no Thunderbolt ports, no dedicated graphics processor, less battery life, inferior wi-fi etc.

I'd like to see a deal on the entry level 13 Macbook pro with OLED touch bar, which should is about £1750 on Apple.

Buying at that price and maybe getting £300 for selling it in 5 years works out effectively a £25 a month rental which is too much. A deal at around £1300 would be more like £15 a month which is better.

You'll look the part in Starbucks! You'd think they're employed by them as there's one in every shop.
