I'm sure it's cheaper for the US KB version from a non-std retailer - just thought this might be a decent heads up for people wanting to stay UK and not buy a grey import.

Hi merslkman - unfortunately it's another 'grey import' model.

MQD32LL/A vs the UK MQD32

thanks mate just seen another post saying currys will price match too so that could be good for anyone who wants it

ive just bought the macbook air from very, i have/had a macbook pro but they are just too expensive now. This is a good offer and if i was paying cash i would of gone with amazon because there refund/exchange policy is great but went with very for the 20% credit back + 12 months interest free. good deal tho!

Yeah I've just seen that too - that's good news then.

I just personally prefer the Amazon process if there are initial / future issues.

Agree completely JayPyro. I was so tempted by the Very deal but I'm just completely risk averse lol. Had a CamelCamelCamel watch on for this and I've never bought something so quickly once I saw the email

I ordered this model just now. Use 'BLACK15' at checkout-- £15 off Black Friday promo code.

Amazon also sell the 256Gb model for £899, although its currently out of stock.
I think I'd be tempted to order that one, and wait for stock, as 128Gb is just too restrictive. I say that as an owner of a 2013 model, which is otherwise still a nice computer even almost 4 years old - but I do regret not getting the bigger capacity storage, as while the SSD is replaceable, the cost of a 3rd party replacement is so not worth it.

Good advice. I'd also been considering the 256GB version. I have a MBP with 128GB at the moment and you're right, I did miss the extra storage. It's easily got around though by using a flush fitting SD Card adapter with a 128GB card.

That way it gives me the 256GB I want (albeit with 128GB just for slower storage needs such as films / music / pictures etc) for about £40-50 rather than the £110 or so it costs to double the SSD size. Plus I'm way too nervous to wait and hope they bring the 256 back into stock lol.

This or an iPad pro

It's really down to if you can live with iOS vs a full Mac OS laptop environment.

Both have their advantages and drawbacks robti but I think that's the main deciding factor.

Im hoping for a deal on the 2799 macbook pro!

Out of stock, but more on the way so hopefully it'll come back up.

Hope a few people managed to get one if that's what they wanted.

I have a Mac and an iPad Pro, purely depends on what you are trying to achieve.

The iPad Pro 10.5 is a phenomenal device and does absolutely everything you could possibly need to do, UNLESS you need to use desktop only programs, like iTunes etc. The App Store is fully fledged however so it’s worth checking if the particular program you need is on there, all of Microsoft Office, Adobe Lighthouse etc lots of really really capable software available.

I can safely say in my case I use my iPad Pro a hell of a lot more, nothing compares to its convenience and speed for non desktop only tasks.
